About this role

Company

Pace is the AI operations partner for the world's leading insurers. We combine the speed of AI agents with expert review by our insurance operations team to automate complex insurance work. Almost $400bn is spent on outsourcing in financial services every year. We're here to change that, working side-by-side with some of the largest companies in the world.

Role

We're looking for a senior partnerships leader to build and scale one of Pace's most important growth functions. You'll work directly with our Partnerships lead to own our most strategic consulting and technology relationships, define how Pace works with partners, and turn those relationships into successful, multi-year customer deployments.

This is not a traditional partner manager or customer success role. It's a high-ownership position spanning strategic relationship management, partner program design, go-to-market enablement, and deployment oversight. You'll help establish the operating model for the function while personally co-owning the small number of partners that will drive the majority of our impact.

Today, Pace deploys our agents directly with leading insurers. As more of that work runs through systems integrators, consultancies, and technology partners, you'll make sure those partners can position, sell, and deploy Pace successfully—from the first strategic conversation through enterprise-wide rollout.

What this looks like in practice

- Build the Pace partner operating model: Design the governance, rules of engagement, tiering and segmentation, incentives, and partner advisory mechanisms that allow the ecosystem to scale.
- Ensure partner-led deployments succeed: Maintain executive oversight of partner-led work, especially as engagements move from pilot to scaled production. Keep customer operations leaders, partner teams, Pace's Applied Engineers, and Account Executives aligned on scope, quality, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
- Create the enablement system: Define the onboarding, training, certification, and collateral partners need to become self-sufficient. You'll set the strategy and quality bar, then help build a team that can scale execution.
- Drive partner-led go-to-market enablement: Equip senior partner leaders and sellers to bring Pace into the strategic conversations that create pipeline. Shape joint account plans, field engagement, positioning, and commercial motions for our highest-priority partners.
- Shape the multi-year roadmap: Identify where agents can expand from initial use cases into adjacent operations across each partner's customer base, and bring partner and customer insight back to Product and Engineering.
- Help build the team: Establish the playbook and operating cadence that future Partner Success and regional hires will execute, and grow into a leadership role as the function scales.

You're a great fit if you

- Have built and grown senior relationships in strategic partnerships, alliances, account management, customer success, or consulting.
- Are strongest at deep relationship-building and strategic account development, while remaining comfortable creating the structure and systems that support execution.
- Have experience working with large consulting firms, systems integrators, enterprise technology partners, or similarly complex partner organizations.
- Think in terms of a customer's P&L and operating problems—not just a pipeline of opportunities—and can turn that understanding into a joint growth plan.
- Can speak credibly with CEOs, CFOs, operations leaders, and risk and compliance teams about financial impact, controls, delivery quality, and auditability.
- Can explain how AI agents operate, when they escalate, and what human review is catching. You don't need to build the technology, but you need to be credible in front of clients and partners.
- Can move between executive strategy and hands-on execution, bringing structure to an ambiguous, fast-changing environment.
- Build trust quickly across partner teams, Applied Engineers, Account Executives, Product, and leadership—and create alignment without relying on formal authority.
- Have a high-ownership mindset: you're accountable for outcomes, not just deliverables.
- Bonus: Big 4 or strategy consulting experience; insurance or financial services experience; experience building a partner program from scratch; a CPA or similar financial credential; or startup experience.

Team characteristics

The Pace team has a couple of defining characteristics:

- Integrity: The most important thing is working with good people who want to have a massive impact on the world. Our team genuinely wants to do the best work of their careers and knows it'll take 5–10 years of focus to deliver.
- Ambition: Our ambition is not just to build a strong vertical AI business, but a $100bn+ company across vertical services. We're looking for people who rise to that level of ambition - whether that means becoming the best at their craft, growing into leaders at scale, or one day starting their own company. Pace will be the best place to learn, deliver impact, and advance your path to doing something great.

At Pace, we're building a talent-dense team where teammates grow into leaders. This might mean becoming a world-class IC, owning a line of business, or leading teams. Whichever path you choose, we want to support you to grow at Pace and beyond for the long term.

We're a <40-person team based in person across New York and London, and we're fortunate to be positioned with leading customers and top investors to make a real impact on one of the largest industries in the world.
