Job Description
This role supports the Free Movement and Settlement Team , a specialized operations group responsible for the back-office settlement of securities moving into and out of U.S. Bank. The team serves as the final operational checkpoint for receiving assets onto the platform and delivering them when requested. The work is highly operational, transaction-focused, and non-client-facing.
Team members rotate across several operational functions that support different securities movement workflows, providing a broad opportunity to learn multiple aspects of custody operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee WMIS client accounts and products while ensuring operational accuracy and risk mitigation.
- Perform back-office securities settlement activities associated with assigned operational workflows.
- Process daily transactions within established service-level agreements and operational deadlines.
- Monitor activity, research issues, resolve exceptions, and handle escalations.
- Respond to internal inquiries and communicate processing status updates.
- Balance daily production responsibilities with project-related assignments.
- Support process improvements, operational efficiency initiatives, and risk-control activities.
- Collaborate with teammates while demonstrating the ability to work independently.
- Assist with special projects and act as a subject matter resource within assigned areas.
- Deliver a high level of service while maintaining accuracy and compliance with established procedures.

Basic Qualifications
- Two or more years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.
- Ability to quickly learn custody operations systems, procedures, products, and services.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of regulatory and accounting principles affecting Wealth Management & Investment Services.
- Project management experience or the aptitude to develop project ownership skills.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn in a dynamic environment.
- Banking, financial services, or investment operations experience is helpful but not required. Candidates from a variety of professional backgrounds will be considered if they demonstrate strong analytical and operational capabilities.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $60,435.00 - $71,100.00
