Description
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced TIG Welders/Pipefitters for projects located in or around Buffalo, NY . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $45/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
- Read and interpret Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), general arrangement drawings, and project specifications
- Complete pipe layout, fitting, and assembly of stainless steel and carbon steel piping systems
- Perform TIG and purge welding on process piping, hydraulic lines, and related assemblies
- Produce full-penetration, high-quality welds for sanitary pharmaceutical applications
- Silver braze and solder copper refrigeration lines
- Operate or learn to operate computer-controlled orbital welding equipment
- Safely operate lathes, drill presses, milling machines, and other fabrication equipment
- Maintain quality workmanship while adhering to all safety and project requirements
Requirements:
- TIG and purge welding experience
- Strong pipefitting and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to fit and weld independently with minimal supervision
- Experience working with stainless steel and carbon steel piping systems
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and fabrication drawings
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in a job shop environment
- High school diploma or trade school training preferred
- Ability to work at heights and in confined or tight spaces
- Ability to bend, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and committed to quality workmanship
