Title: Child Care Worker

Location: NARA Northwest Adult Residential Facility - 620 NE 2nd St, Gresham OR, 97030 (during remodeling period of 2-3 years, after which the location will be in Northwest Portland)

Schedule: Onsite, Mon-Fri 8:00am - 5:00pm. Occasional weekends and evenings as requested

Wage: $21.95 hourly

Position Overview:

Our Child Care Workers play a vital role in nurturing and supporting young childrens development. They create a safe, engaging environment where children can explore, learn, and grow. Child Care Workers are responsible for providing care and supervision for children whose parents are receiving and participating in NARAs health and wellness services and special events.

What you will do:

- Provide education and recreational activities for children.

- Keep documentation daily of childs progress.

- Drive children to appointments or events, on an infrequent basis.

- Prepare and serve snacks to children.

- Notify Case Manager and the Child Development Managers of progress or problems regarding childcare.

- Help facilitate ASQ questionnaire/SE for all children onsite.

- Practice child safety policies and procedures, and complete required training.

- Follow policies and procedures per NARA NW, DELC, DHS, and OSHA regulations .

Qualifications

We would like to hear from people that have:

- Diploma or GED certification required.

- Experience as an in-home childcare provider or in-center childcare provider (prefer early childhood education, CPR certification)

- Reliable transportation and valid drivers license (Candidate will occasionally use their personal vehicle for errands and child transportation, mileage reimbursed).

- Must be registered on the Central Background Registry.

- Must pass a pre-employment or for cause drug tests.

- Must pass criminal background

- Must meet NARA NW drivers' requirements:

Active, valid drivers license

- Active auto insurance

- Good-standing driving record with no more than one accident within the last three years
