Job Summary:

OGX is seeking VIP Guest Experience Team Members to guide Guests through the experience from entry to exit. Responsibilities include greeting Guests, selling tickets, getting Guests excited for the experience, organizing queues, taking photos, and answering questions. When VIP ticket holders are scheduled, VIP Guest Experience Team Members step into the VIP role, hosting VIP guests from arrival to departure and delivering a personalized, elevated experience in partnership with the VIP Guest Lead. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and can project a positive and welcoming image to visitors.

This part time role pays $19.00 per hour for standard shifts, and $19.50 per hour for scheduled VIP shifts

Guest Experience Responsibilities:

- Greet and welcome all Guests, providing direction to them and engaging in friendly conversation
- Provide a memorable experience for Guests with a positive and hospitable attitude
- Assist Guests in queueing up for their time-based experience
- Sell tickets to guests in standby line
- Scan tickets and handle any technical difficulties
- Staff photo locations throughout the experience to assist Guests in taking photos
- Direct Guests through the exhibit and maintain traffic flow and line control
- Share fun facts and trivia about the exhibit with Guests
- Answer questions about the experience
- Handle payments quickly and accurately
- Maintain health, safety, and cleanliness standards, including sweeping floors, wiping down surfaces, and removing trash
- Ensure all on site policies and protocols are being adhered to by guests
- Additional duties as assigned

VIP Responsibilities (when VIP ticket holders are scheduled):

- Host VIP ticket holders from arrival to departure, anticipating needs and making every visit feel personal
- Lead or assist with guided VIP tours, bringing the experience to life with strong storytelling and show knowledge
- Work with the VIP Guest Lead to prepare for upcoming VIP visits, including reviewing bookings, guest details, and special requests
- Set up and serve VIP amenities, including food and beverage items, retail totes, mugs, frames, and other program materials
- Consistently follow all VIP service standards and procedures
- Coordinate with ticketing, café, photo operations, and retail so VIP visits move through the experience without friction
- Resolve VIP guest concerns with grace and follow-through, escalating to the VIP Guest Lead or management when needed
- Share VIP guest feedback with the VIP Guest Lead and management
- Warmly welcome VIP guests and escort them to their designated reserved tables, ensuring a personalized and memorable experience.
- Prepare VIP seating areas prior to guest arrival, including placing reserved signage and ensuring tables are clean, organized, and presentation-ready.
- Regularly check in with VIP guests to ensure food and beverage needs are met and provide attentive, proactive service throughout their visit.
- Maintain cleanliness of the Cafe VIP area by promptly clearing used dishes, glassware, and other items from tables.
- Assist with light dishwashing duties, including cleaning and organizing dishes, utensils, and service items.
- Reset and prepare tables between guest visits to maintain a welcoming and polished environment.
- Collaborate with Cafe and Guest Experience teams to ensure seamless service and an exceptional VIP experience.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hospitality, and professionalism while adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support daily operations and overall guest satisfaction.

Requirements:

- Must be able to remain in a standing, stationary position more than 75% of the time
- Must be able to work a minimum of three shifts, one of which must be a weekend day
- Must be able to move about inside the exhibit space, including while leading tours
- Regularly operates audio and video equipment
- Must be able to verbally communicate to a variety of audiences and facilitate internal and external group discussions
- Must be able to work a variable schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Your experience:

- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Previous guest facing experience preferred
- Previous customer service and/or cash handling experience preferred
- Experience using a ticketing system preferred
- Previous public speaking preferred
- Experience in tour guiding, concierge, VIP services, events, or another premium service environment preferred
