We are seeking professionals with Medicaid experience who can coordinate teams, manage initiatives, and support successful program delivery.

About the Role

The Medicaid Program Manager will manage Medicaid-related programs, projects, or operational initiatives. Work may involve policy implementation, managed care, quality improvement, eligibility and enrollment, provider services, or systems implementation.

We welcome candidates from government agencies, health plans, healthcare organizations, government contractors, and consulting firms.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain program plans, schedules, and milestones.
- Coordinate staff, subject matter experts, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Track deliverables, budgets, risks, dependencies, and decisions.
- Support implementation of program policies and operational changes.
- Organize stakeholder meetings and maintain clear action logs.
- Monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare status updates, reports, and presentations.
- Help resolve delivery issues and escalate matters requiring leadership decisions.
- Support proposal development and project planning when relevant.

Requirements

- Experience supporting U.S. Medicaid programs or Medicaid-related initiatives.
- Experience managing projects, programs, or operational workstreams.
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accountability.
- Familiarity with at least one Medicaid functional area.

Candidates with relevant leadership experience are encouraged to apply even if their previous title was not Program Manager.

Preferred Experience

- Work with state Medicaid agencies or Medicaid managed care organizations.
- Program implementation, process improvement, or systems modernization.
- Performance reporting and management of government deliverables.
- Project management credentials such as PMP or equivalent experience.
