Server

The Washington House is hiring experienced servers to join our team.  The staff at the Washington House take pride in offering caring, knowledgeable hospitality and excellent food in a high energy, positive work environment.  We are looking for servers who have a sincere desire to make people happy and like being part of a hardworking team.

Server responsibilities:
• Engage with each customer to make them feel welcome and comfortable.
• Be knowledgeable of all food and beverage menus and special events
• Set up properly to ensure maximum efficiency when busy
• Take beverage and food orders and enter into POS accurately
• Follow all restaurant protocols for "Washington House" service
• Look for positive solutions to inevitable difficult situations
• Prepare checks and collect payment from guests
• Clean and sanitize appropriate areas in dining room and kitchen to make sure each shift starts with a clean work space
• Work cooperatively with all front of house, back of house, hotel and theater staff to maintain a positive work environment at all times

Server requirements:
• Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast paced environment
• Availability to work varied hours/days
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Ability to lift and carry heavy plates, boxes and dining room tables and chairs when necessary
•  All of our servers work weekdays and weekends, and a combination of  lunch and dinner shifts
