Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (7-10 years) with a strong background in building services design , particularly for North American and Canadian projects . The role requires expertise in electrical system design, multidisciplinary coordination, and delivery of high-quality engineering solutions within project timelines.
Your role
- Relevant and appropriate experience of 7 to 10 years as Engineer within building services.
- Experience of working in multi-discipline environment and good understanding of co-ordination and interfaces with other disciplines.
- Competent by virtue of training and experience in the design of electrical systems design to North American & Canadian standards.
- The successful applicant will be a competent user of IT tools in particular Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Able to deliver work and integrate with larger project teams.
- Good report writing skills, experience of making presentations to and attending meetings with clients is essential.
About you
- Experience of working in Multi-D environment and good understanding of co-ordination and interfaces with other disciplines.
- Ability to work in multi-cultural multilingual environment.
- Open to new ideas and innovative approaches.
- Be a competent user of IT tools in particular Word, Excel, Outlook and Electrical design tools e.g. AGi32, SKM Power system, ETAP, Amtech, Dialux etc.
- Proficiency in Revit, BIM 360, AutoCAD is a must.
- Wider knowledge of other disciplines is desirable.
- Responsible for completion of specifically assigned tasks to time and cost.
- Able to work as reliable and pro-active member of the team.
- Good communication, presentation and listening skills.
- Writing professional reports.
- Identifies and communicates concerns to immediate supervisor.
- Possess capability to take individual responsibilities.
- Willingness to share information and knowledge with team members.
- Shows flexibility in work tasks, locations and flexibility to work with teams in a different time zone.
- Authors technical reports of acceptable technical and presentational quality. Able to present their work on the project in presentations and meetings. Relevant and appropriate experience as a designer within building services.
- You will be a competent designer to CSA and NFPA standards.
- You will have experience in Revit and delivered projects using BIM skills.
- Demonstrates the necessary level of competence and responsibility according to the grade.
- You will manage productivity and quality of your deliverables.
- Maintains harmony and a productive atmosphere by being open about the work activities and project status.
- Good command of the English and French Language and an effective communicator both written and verbal.
