About this role

Hi!

We are Coffee Circle, Germany’s leading sustainable specialty coffee roastery based in Berlin. We offer the world’s finest coffee and equipment to over 150,000 customers online and in our Cafés, driven by our goal to make high-end coffee experiences enjoyable and accessible to all. We foster direct trade relationships with coffee farmers worldwide, pay high prices for the coffee beans, and ensure everyone involved in the value chain is treated fairly and respectfully. For every kilogram of coffee we sell, we invest € 1 through our Coffee Circle Foundation e.V. to support sustainable improvements in coffee-growing regions, such as clean drinking water, hygiene training, and coffee labs. With over € 5 million raised in donations, we cannot wait to increase our positive impact with you on our team, one cup of coffee at a time.

And now, we’re coming to Munich!

We’re opening our first Coffee Circle Café outside Berlin and are looking for a strong local team to help us bring Coffee Circle to a new city. As part of our Munich opening team, you will play an important role in building the café from the ground up, creating a great guest experience, and bringing our coffee, hospitality, and culture to Munich.

Your role

Coffee Circle’s headquarters and central support teams are based in Berlin, and you will be our first Supervisor/Manager in another city. In addition to leading our Munich café and its team of 5 Baristas, you will also be the main operational contact on the ground. This means being comfortable working independently, taking ownership of local topics, and coordinating closely with our Berlin teams whenever support is needed.

Conduct Barista trials and make hiring decisions.

Regularly work 1–2 shifts per week on bar and cover absences when needed.

Conduct monthly quality checks, report issues, and ensure they are fixed.

Coordinate inbound goods and storage.

Independently manage local suppliers, partners, and handymen to solve operational issues quickly.

Share local market insights and help improve hiring, logistics, and operational processes in Munich.

Work closely with Retail Logistics, Procurement and HR in Berlin and support them in finding local solutions where needed.

Your profile

3+ years of hospitality experience in a customer-facing role, including at least 1 year of hands-on experience preparing coffee.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.

Comfortable working independently and taking ownership as the main operational contact in Munich.

Genuine interest in coffee and enthusiasm for developing your knowledge of the craft behind it.

Very good digital skills, including Excel and other digital tools.

Fluent in German and English (min B2-C1 in both)

Availability to work 40h per week across 5 days.

What we believe in

Coffee brings all kinds of people together. So do we. At Coffee Circle, coffee experts work alongside artists, entrepreneurs, writers, designers, and plenty of people who simply care deeply about what they do. We look at the world with curiosity, respect, and open eyes, because great coffee is never just about the cup. It’s about the people behind it, the choices we make, and what we can build together: better quality, stronger partnerships, and a more thoughtful way of doing business.

No matter what your race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, or gender identity: you are awesome as you are, and if the job description resonates with you, there's no reason why you should not apply.

We are looking forward to getting to know you!
