Join T&E in Driving the Transition to Zero-Emission Transport and Energy in Indonesia
For more than 35 years, T&E (Transport & Environment) has been at the forefront of decarbonizing transport and energy. Starting in Europe, our independent, evidence-based research, combined with effective advocacy and communications, has helped shape policies that accelerate the transition to zero-emission transport and energy.
T&E is now expanding its work across the Asia-Pacific region, with Indonesia as one of our priority markets. Indonesia’s rapidly growing transport and energy sectors present both a major decarbonization challenge and an opportunity to demonstrate how zero-emission transport can support economic development, energy security, cleaner air and industrial transformation.
We are seeking an Indonesia Program Lead to develop and deliver T&E’s growing programme in Indonesia. The Program Lead will lead our policy and advocacy work, build relationships with government, industry and civil society, manage partnerships and projects, and identify opportunities to translate T&E’s research into tangible policy and implementation outcomes.
Initially, the programme will have a strong focus on zero-emission road freight, transport electrification, charging infrastructure and maritime electrification, while the portfolio may expand as T&E develops its regional strategy.
The Indonesia Program Lead will report to T&E’s Regional Policy and Program Director – Asia-Pacific and work closely with T&E policy, research and campaign teams across Asia-Pacific and Europe.

About T&E
T&E is the independent expert in enabling clean transport for all. Our vision is a zero-emissions mobility system that is affordable and has minimal impacts on our health and environment. Since we were created 30 years ago, T&E has shaped some of Europe’s most important environmental laws. We got the EU to set the world's most ambitious CO2 standards for cars and trucks but also helped uncover the Dieselgate scandal; we campaigned successfully to end palm oil diesel, secured a global ban on dirty shipping fuels and the creation of the aviation ETS, the world's largest carbon market for aviation, to name just a few.
We combine the power of robust, science-based evidence and a deep understanding of transport with powerful communications and impactful advocacy. Our staff in Brussels, Paris, Rome, Madrid, Berlin, Warsaw and London collaborate with our 49 national members. From 2024, T&E has been enhancing our collaboration between Asia and Europe, starting from our Singapore office, to accelerate zero-emission transport and energy transition, helping ensure that global decarbonization efforts are both inclusive and regionally grounded. Altogether, our members represent more than 3.5 million people.
