Responsibilities:
- end-to-end delivery of configuration services for a product line throughout the lifecycle, including:
- collection of configuration requirements from various stakeholders (primarily based at German headquarter sites) while providing advisory regarding company design standards
- finalization of product configuration specification in standardized templates, including consistency & feasibility checks, given the company specific modelling standards
- delivery planning in collaboration with lifecycle engineering and project managers
- variant configuration coding or code analysis in SAP ecosystem following the detailed company specific standards (standardized building blocks for most specific configuration problems available)
- maintenance of additional data such as pricing, foreign-trade information, pictures, etc. in various connected applications
- coordination of the validation (UAT, stress test) of the configuration model regarding behavior of the user interface and translation of user selections into production orders
- processing of support tickets from data management key users, mainly supporting order fulfillment departments and sales & distribution partners across the globe
- providing improvement ideas for processes, standards, and tooling – alignment and implementation of these ideas not expected
Candidates profile:
- bachelor’s degree in engineering or business information systems or a similar qualification
- 5-8 years of experience in master data management or a similar function
- proven proficiency in requirements engineering with technical and non-technical functions, such as sales and product management
- ability to plan and schedule multiple simultaneous and complex work packages and engage stakeholders across the globe to make their contributions in due time and quality
- strong expertise in the SAP modules SD and LO-VC (variant configuration) or AVC
- ideally experience in SAP CRM, SAP BRIM and Salesforce
- good understanding of innovation transfer, supply chain, and sales processes
- systematic and thorough working style
- strong analytical skills with an eye for critical details
- fluent in English communication and knowledge of any additional language.
