About this role

At Sandvik, we’re shaping up a coordinated and future-ready HR landscape that supports our people, our business and our continued transformation. In the US, this means bringing together clear country HR governance, trusted cross-business collaboration and responsive HR Services that create value for managers and employees. We’re now looking for a senior HR leader to drive country coordination, strengthen HR Services and accelerate digital transformation across our US operations.

Your mission

In this combined position, you lead the US country HR agenda and manage the country HR Services team and portfolio. Reporting to the Global Head of Machining HR Services, you work across a complex matrix organization to align shared people priorities, strengthen governance and translate business needs into scalable solutions.

Job responsibilities

- Lead the Country HR Council and represent a consolidated HR perspective in the Country Coordination Council.

- Coordinate HR policies, employee relations, benefits and shared people matters across US legal entities.

- Develop the country HR Services team by setting clear expectations and building capability and accountability.

- Shape the service portfolio, capacity and service levels to meet business demand and deliver consistent experience for employees and managers.

- Accelerate digital transformation by scaling responsible AI-enabled and digital solutions across Workday, case management and service processes.

- Manage service governance, stakeholder relationships, budget, cost and productivity, using data and business insights to guide priorities and investment.

Location and flexibility

The position is ideally based in Mebane, North Carolina. Travel is required.

Your profile

You bring extensive, progressive HR experience, commercial understanding and sound judgment. With a strategic outlook and a practical approach, you turn priorities into action and lead effectively across businesses, functions and stakeholder groups. You are strong in stakeholder management, skilled at creating alignment and able to move confidently between governance, collaboration and hands-on casework.

Your background includes

- A university degree in Human Resources or a related field.

- Senior HR leadership experience with broad responsibility for people, organizations and HR services delivery.

- Substantial experience in country HR governance, employee relations, HR policies, benefits and HR services operations.

- A proven ability to lead senior cross-business councils, create alignment and influence stakeholders.

- Experience leading transformation, standardization and high-performing HR teams while applying HR platforms, AI, digital solutions and data.

It’s a plus if you have

- Experience managing HR service governance, budget and cost.

- Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions or business integration.

- A background in a multi-business, industrial or similarly complex environment.

As a clear and inclusive leader, you build trust through open communication, accountability and integrity. You enjoy creating alignment even when perspectives differ, and you balance different interests with practical thinking, sound judgment and a focus on long-term solutions. Strong business acumen enables you to connect people decisions with customer needs and organizational performance while driving progress in a sustainable way.

The team

You lead the country HR Services Operations team and collaborate with business leaders and HR teams across business areas, divisions and Group. Your wider network includes Employee Relations, Compensation and Benefits, Legal, Finance, IT, other specialist functions, and regional and global HR Services teams.
