Lead Specialist GES Finance R2D
Role responsibilities
The GES Lead Expert will be responsible for month end and quarter end close process. Ensuring timely closure of Books as per designated timelines identified in FCC – (Financial Closing Cockpit). Support FC ( Financial controllers) in coordinating with Sub-ledger teams. Also responsible for aligning with both FC and GES R2Dteam in various Intercompany related activities ranging from creation of purchase requisitions and making sales orders.
Role Content Specifics:
Act as point of contact for specific legal entity/Unit covering the following tasks & responsibilities
Actuals and Closing:
- To open and close ledgers and sub-ledgers.
- To reconcile ledgers and sub-ledgers.
- Execution of month end activities
- Processing of manual journal entries including rectification entries
- To develop accounting period-end timetables and closing schedule according to Name
Business /Service Unit policy and Corporate Control & Accounting (CCA) timetables.
- To obtain approval for accounting period-end timetables according to Name Business
/Service Unit approval hierarchy.
- To clear intercompany accounts that are out-of-balance.
- To distribute accounting period-end timetable according to Name Business /Service Unit
policy guidelines.
- Perform Monthly bank reconciliations, including General Ledger research and other
Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support preparation of standard and ad hoc management reports through information
verification, proofreading, assembly and other related activities.
- Responsible for updating Group Reporting and consolidation sets in Group Reporting
- Reconcile ledgers and sub-ledgers and clear intercompany accounts which are out of balance
- Prepare Balance sheet reconciliations

Analysis, Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collects budget and forecasting data
- Data entry of Budget numbers into SAP
Internal Control and Auditing
- Ensures compliance with DSM-Firmenich internal control requirements
- Monitors the internal control framework on monthly basis and follows up on remediation plans
- Support External Audit process
