About this role

Join National Gas and help be the energy behind the change.

National Gas is responsible for operating and maintaining Britain's national gas transmission network, helping to keep the lights on, businesses running and homes warm.

We manage the critical infrastructure that safely and reliably transports gas across Great Britain, supporting the energy security that millions of people depend on every day.

While delivering for Britain today, we're also preparing for tomorrow. Through innovation, investment and the development of future energy infrastructure, we're helping to create a cleaner and more sustainable energy system for generations to come.

As a graduate, you'll be given meaningful responsibility from the start, supported to develop professionally, and empowered to contribute to projects that have a real impact on the nation's energy future. Whether you're solving complex challenges, driving innovation or delivering essential services, you'll play an important role in an organisation with genuine purpose.

Join us and help shape the future of energy.

About the Role

Join our Planning & Performance team in the East Region and help support the decisions that keep Britain's energy network running safely and reliably. You'll work with colleagues from across the business, including engineering, finance and project teams, giving you a broad understanding of how National Gas plans for the future and invests in its infrastructure.

As an Investment Sponsor Graduate, you'll help the team organise, track and review a range of projects and improvement activities. You'll work with information and data to understand performance, support planning activities and contribute to discussions that help shape future investment decisions.

Day-to-day, you could be:

• Supporting project plans and helping teams keep activities on track.
• Reviewing information and data to spot trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Creating reports and presentations to share updates and key insights.
• Tracking actions and helping coordinate activities across different teams.
• Supporting meetings and decision-making processes.
• Working with colleagues across National Gas to help deliver successful outcomes.

Throughout the programme, you'll gain experience in business planning, project coordination, performance reporting and investment decision-making. You'll build strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills while developing an understanding of how major infrastructure projects support the future of energy in Great Britain.

• Embraces new experiences and is open to learning from people with different perspectives.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys understanding how things work, spotting opportunities for improvement and contributing to projects that have a real impact on the future of energy.

We celebrate the different experiences our colleagues bring to our organisation and strongly encourage applicants of all backgrounds to apply.
