The Opportunity

QBE Europe is recruiting a Data Quality Lead - DQ Issue Management to join the EO Data & AI function. As the organisation continues to strengthen its Data Quality capabilities, this role will lead the Data Quality Issue Management (DQIM) process, ensuring DQ Issues are consistently captured, triaged, prioritised and progressed through a governed lifecycle to resolution.

The role owns oversight of the central DQ Issue portfolio, prioritises Data Quality Analyst capacity, and coordinates remediation across business and technology teams. It drives clear ownership and appropriate escalation, and builds the case for complex remediation where additional funding, capacity or technology investment is required.

·   Maintain oversight of the central DQ Issues queue, ensuring consistent governance, tracking and reporting across the DQ Issue portfolio.

·   Prioritise DQ Analyst capacity across the issue portfolio, balancing new issue investigation, root-cause analysis and support for remediation based on risk, business impact and strategic priority.

·   Coordinate remediation across business and technology teams, ensuring clear ownership, actions, dependencies and target dates, while constructively challenging blockers or insufficient remediation plans.

·   Ensure appropriate Escalation Groups are established and engaged for DQ Issues to reinforce accountability, drive decisions and escalate material risks or delays where required.

·   Drive robust root-cause analysis and ensure remediation plans address underlying causes and support sustained Data Quality improvements.

·   Lead the development of the case for complex or strategic remediation requiring additional funding, capacity or technology investment, bringing together business impact, risk, remediation options, dependencies, resource requirements and expected outcomes.

·   Provide clear reporting and insight on the DQ Issue portfolio, including progress, ageing, risks, dependencies, recurring themes and systemic issues.

·   Drive continuous improvement of DQ Issue Management processes, governance, reporting and tooling, supporting the evolution of the DQ Target Operating Model.

·   Ability to coordinate delivery and influence outcomes across business and technical teams, including where there is no direct management authority.

·   Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to provide constructive challenge and escalate where appropriate.

·   Ability to translate complex Data Quality problems into clear business impacts, decisions and actions.
