You will monitor, research, assess, and analyze data and alerts from a suite of security tools, including DLP, EDR, SIEM, and user behavior analytics. You will follow defined investigative paths to ensure consistent resolution of often highly sensitive matters, and prepare and present analysis, findings, and recommendations through briefings and reports to security leads and other stakeholders, including senior legal, privacy, and executive stakeholders.

The role supports the development and enhancement of internal incident response capabilities, particularly those focused on insider threat monitoring and response. It also requires continual awareness of emerging insider threat tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), industry trends, and technological advancements to help strengthen Mastercard’s overall Insider Threat capability and long-term resilience.

In this role you will:
• Work as an independent insider threat subject matter expert on often complex, high-risk, and highly sensitive cases, in compliance with Insider Threat policies, processes, procedures, and operating standards.
• Conduct technical analysis of user activity data and alerts to identify indicators of insider threats.
• Maintain the completeness and accuracy of the insider threat incident caseload.
• Analyze program trends, risks, and metrics to identify improvements and support leadership decisions.
• Support the enhancement of Insider Threat detection capabilities, controls, and countermeasures aligned to emerging TTPs.
• Liaise with Technology, Security, HR, Legal, Privacy, Compliance, and M&A partners to progress investigations.
• Identify control gaps and collaborate with engineering and operations peers to improve prevention and detection capabilities.
• Take part in exercises to test and strengthen Insider Threat capabilities, as necessary.
• Contribute to the Insider Threat Working Group.
• Collaborate with and mentor first-line analysts to embed key Insider Threat processes and procedures within their capabilities.
