As the Enterprise AI Strategy Principal, you will help shape how Capital Group applies AI to create enduring business value. Working directly with enterprise and line-of-business leaders, you will develop AI strategies, identify transformational opportunities, and translate them into clear strategic choices and compelling business cases.
This is a high-visibility strategy role for someone who wants to work at the intersection of AI, investment management, and enterprise transformation. You will join an established AI organization with strong momentum and help business leaders move from experimentation to measurable results.
The role offers broad exposure across Capital Group and the opportunity to build relationships with leaders across our businesses. It is well suited to a strategist who wants to develop deep expertise in enterprise AI while building the context and credibility to pursue broader leadership opportunities over time.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as a forward-deployed AI strategist. Partner deeply with individual lines of business to assess their AI maturity, clarify their highest-value opportunities, and develop strategies tailored to their business priorities.
- Partner with line of business leaders to build AI strategies and prioritize opportunities. Assess where AI can create enduring value across investing, distribution and operations. Size the upside, both revenue and opportunity to create capacity, and build business cases and roadmaps that leaders can approve and fund.
- Track the market and competitors. Engage with industry leaders to keep a pulse on how asset managers, wealth managers, technology platform providers and frontier model providers are moving. Partner with leadership to surface early signals and implications for competitive strategy. Bring outside ideas into the firm's strategic discussions and decision-making on the application of AI.
- Shape the firm's point of view on the strategic implications of AI. Run scenario work on how AI may change the business over the next 3-5 years (e.g., how investors get advice, who influences investment decisions, implications for our sales and go-to-market strategy, product design, investment processes).
- Connect strategy to execution. Partner closely with product, engineering, data, business and enterprise AI team to translate strategic priorities into actionable priorities and establish measures of success. Product and business teams will own implementation, while you help preserve strategic intent across our portfolio and partner with Finance to ensure we realize business value.
- Build responsible AI into the strategy. Work with our AI Accelerator Platform Leadership Team including Line of Business Leaders, Risk, Information Security, Legal, Data and Technology so the recommendations reflect governance, regulation, data readiness and client trust from the start.
- Communicate clearly for leaders. Produce short, insightful communications for key leadership groups and forums to inform robust strategic decision-making. Explain complex AI topics in plain business terms.
