Laser Operator

Focus Manufacturing Services is seeking a CNC Laser Operator to join our team in Ogden, Utah.

Pay for this position depends on the applicant's experience operating a laser.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Loading and unloading of material and parts

- Operating controls of the Laser cutter

- Programming laser equipment

- Setting offsets

- Deburring and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements

- Ensuring all parts meet tight manufacturing requirements

- Read and interpret drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine the dimensions and tolerances of finished products

- Maintaining and repairing the laser cutter.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Applicant needs to show strong mechanical skills.

- Having experience running CNC-based machines would be helpful as well as experience working in the fabrication industry.

- Strong math and blueprint reading skills.

- Knowledge of when and how to use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring devices.

- Able to work independently, efficiently, and stay on task with minimal supervision.
