About this role
Position Summary: Backstage crew primarily responsible for assisting actors with costumes and costume changes.
Physical Location of Work : Works at the theater, with no remote work possible
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Checking in costumes pieces before each performance
- Pre-setting costume pieces as instructed by Supervisor
- Performing quick changes and other costume changes during the performance
- Post show clean up & disinfecting of costume pieces
- Assist with Wigs and set pieces when needed
- Ensure that repair notes are clear and as detailed as possible
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Educational Requirements:
- Educational Requirements: None
- Experience in Job Type: None Required, must be 18 years of age
- Skills Required:
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Organized
- Problem Solving
- Positive and helpful attitude
- Able to move quickly, bend down, climb stairs, carry up to 50lbs
- Basic sewing a plus
