You will work closely with manufacturing personnel, technicians, assemblers, and engineers to understand field modifications and determine the rationale behind design changes. Your role will involve updating SolidWorks models, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings to reflect as-built conditions. Additionally, you will revise and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs), assembly documentation, work instructions, and associated engineering records. Ensuring all documentation meets internal configuration management and revision control requirements is crucial.

- Work independently to prioritize projects and drive documentation updates to completion.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of mechanical design, drafting, or CAD experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency with SolidWorks, including part modeling, assemblies, and production drawings.
- Experience working with electromechanical products and CAD.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, manufacturing processes, and assembly practices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with shop floor personnel.
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently and investigate issues with minimal direction.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- AutoCAD experience.
- Experience supporting custom electromechanical equipment, machinery, or industrial systems.
- Familiarity with ECOs (Engineering Change Orders), revision control, and configuration management processes.
- Experience maintaining BOMs, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Design, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
Work Environment
The work environment is dynamic, requiring collaboration with manufacturing personnel and engineers. You will primarily use SolidWorks and occasionally AutoCAD to update and maintain drawings and documentation.
