JOB MISSION:

The Managing Director, Operations & Sourcing - Asia is a senior leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence and strategic sourcing across New Balance's footwear and apparel supply chains throughout Asia. This position leads regional operations teams, country leadership, and the global apparel sourcing organization to deliver best-in-class performance in quality, service, speed, cost, sustainability, and supplier capability.

The role partners closely with senior business leaders to develop sourcing strategies, strengthen supplier partnerships, and build a resilient, agile, and responsible supply network that supports the company's growth objectives.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Lead the Asia Operations organization, including Country Managers, Operations Teams, and the General Manager, Apparel Sourcing.
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the global Apparel Sourcing team.
- Drive performance across quality, delivery, speed-to-market, productivity, cost, and supplier reliability.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies that support business growth, product innovation, supply continuity, and operational efficiency.
- Build and maintain a high-performing supplier portfolio across footwear and apparel.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product Creation, Supply Chain, Planning, Quality, and Commercial teams to ensure alignment and execution of business objectives.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness and supplier performance.
- Responsible for sourcing practices, including workplace safety, labor standards, compliance, and environmental stewardship.
- Develop organizational capability and leadership talent across sourcing and operations teams.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

- Extensive leadership experience within global sourcing, supply chain, manufacturing, or operations environments.
- Demonstrated success leading complex, multi-country organizations and supplier networks.
- Strong strategic planning, supplier management, and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
- Proven track record of delivering results in quality, delivery, cost, and operational excellence.
- Deep understanding of footwear and/or apparel sourcing, manufacturing, and supply chain operations.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive organizational change.
- Commitment to responsible sourcing, sustainability, and ethical business practices.

North American office-based associates are expected to come into the office on Wednesdays, with other occasional in-office days for in-person meetings and events as needed. Our offices are fully open and amenities are available across our North American office locations.
