Procurement Lead MexicoPOSITION OVERVIEW
In this role, you will manage the industrial procurement process for the following sites: Coatzacoalcos, Guadalajara, San Juan del Río, and Corporate. You will establish negotiation strategies for cost control that result in savings for the company and reduction of risks inherent to trade; complying with Indovinya’s policies and procedures while ensuring optimal safety costs, quality, and delivery times.

ROLE
• Establish guidelines and responsibilities for acquiring industrial materials, equipment, and services.
• Define negotiation strategies to control expenses and generate company savings.
• Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure proper execution of the procurement process.
• Lead and provide coaching and development support to direct reports.
• Collaborate with key business stakeholders.

AUTHORITY
• Approval of purchase orders in Oracle according to the Indovinya Delegation of Authority (DOA).
• Design and modify the functions of the Procurement team.
• Authority to stop any product or service that puts at risk the quality, legality, and safety of products, as well as any activity that puts at risk the physical integrity of people, the environment, and/or facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as the key Procurement focal point for the manufacturing organization and other business functions.
• Drive team professional growth, elevate procurement performance, and maximize TPV.
• Lead the evaluation of existing contract relationships to identify savings, risk mitigation strategies, and commercial term enhancements.
• Coach team members in contracting, commercial tenders, supplier onboarding, and performance management.
• Coordinate implementation of Category Management strategies across Indovinya sites.
• Develop and manage influential relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate sourcing events, manage supplier communications, and support supplier negotiations and management.
• Engage and influence key internal stakeholders to identify commercial leverage opportunities and mitigate supply risks.
• Monitor suppliers and external markets to identify opportunities and threats.
• Purchase materials and services considering safety, quality, reliability, and schedule urgency.
• Support Procurement Excellence and implement improvements to Procurement, Contract Management, Master Data, and other key processes.
• Leads operational buying team members and deploys effective performance management measurement tools and improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrate highly effective team building and leadership skills.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Work Experience:
• Negotiation with suppliers of goods and services.
• Process Manufacturing Procurement

Education and Training
• Engineering degree or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or related field
• Fluent in English and Spanish

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Chemical industry procurement
• Master’s degree in Business Administration
• CPSM
