Working closely with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and SCADA & Controls Engineering teams, you will help bring power equipment from concept and initial design into production and support it throughout the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop programs, subroutines, function blocks, and firmware for the automation of power and monitoring equipment used in microgrids and battery energy storage systems.
- Create SCADA and control system designs that integrate BESS products, microgrid control systems, and the GridSure advanced control and analytics platform.
- Utilize platforms and languages such as IEC standards, SQL, C, C++, and Python to implement robust and scalable control solutions.
- Program and implement integration solutions using GridSure application software, web UI frameworks, and industrial control hardware.
- Produce complete and accurate product and programming designs for internal engineering teams and external customers.
- Create programming files for various control and communication devices associated with projects, ensuring reliable data acquisition and control.
- Collaborate with Systems Engineering and SCADA & Controls Engineering teams to test programs and files, perform quality checks, and troubleshoot electrical and control issues.
- Review project specifications and drawings with the design team and identify similar project applications to leverage existing solutions and best practices.
- Work with Systems Engineering teams and customers to specify, set up, and commission field devices connected to the GridSure platform.
- Diagnose and resolve communication or data issues between field devices, industrial networks, and the GridSure platform.
- Support the transition of equipment and control solutions from concept and initial design into full production and throughout the product lifecycle.
Essential Skills
- Strong experience with MES/SCADA systems, including configuration, programming, and integration with industrial equipment.
- Hands-on experience with PLCs and industrial networks used in power distribution and automation environments.
