Software Development Engineer II

### About the role
As part of the Stores Fulfilment, you will have the opportunity to work on software applications and services that are transforming the way Tesco manages its warehouse operations. Your work will enhance the experience of our colleagues in depots and drive greater efficiency across our extensive fulfilment network. When it comes to new ideas, we’re as ambitious as you are.
Our team is modernizing the mainframe technologies that power our store fulfilment operations, adopting industry-leading standards and leveraging data science and AI to achieve our goals in mainframe platform.
From a technical perspective, we develop COBOL-based solution using VSAM , CICS and JCL.

At Tesco Technology, we work in a hybrid model. This role requires you to be based in Banglore, as we currently meet in the office 3 days a week

### You will need
We take responsibility for the software through its entire lifecycle. We practice continuous integration, delivery, and support of our code through to production and beyond. Whilst specific responsibilities will be dependent upon the changing needs of the Tesco business, the following provides an overview of the role’s key responsibilities and measures:
· Be a coder; review and contribute code. · Proactively propose solutions. · Work in the team – support and be supported in your team. · Design: design, propose and review architecture design. · Focus on performance, availability, reliability, and security. · Contribute to the definition of features for services owned by your team. · Effectively communicate your and your team’s progress to your team members, your manager, and wider Tesco colleagues.
You will need
Experience: 4-10 yrs. Expertise in COBOL, VSAM, CICS and JCL & REXX coding Developed libraries, object repositories and optimized configurations Automate functional/regression test scenarios Exposure in working on automation framework Ability to convert manual functional and regression scripts to automated script Should be able to work independently and self-driven Expertise in Test Automation Framework Creation is an added advantage.
