We will count on you to:

- Own the actuarial strategy for cyber projects aligning analytics to placement needs and client objectives.
- Lead cyber pricing and portfolio analytics, including experience analysis, exposure/rate adequacy views, and scenario and stress testing to support structuring and negotiation.
- Develop and oversee actuarial methodologies for cyber (frequency/severity, tail risk, aggregation, systemic/catastrophe-style events), including model governance, assumptions, and limitations documentation.
- Translate technical results into clear client-facing insights and materials for submissions, renewals, and stewardship reviews (e.g., key drivers, sensitivities, uncertainty ranges).
- Partner closely with broking to support market strategy, reinsurer engagement, and deal execution; provide actuarial support in negotiations where needed.
- Establish strong peer review and quality controls for actuarial work products, consistent with professional standards and internal governance expectations for analytics work. Build and manage a high-performing cyber actuarial team (hiring, coaching, development, workload prioritisation), fostering a culture of technical excellence and commercial impact.
- Contribute to thought leadership (market insights, benchmarking, and research) that supports the firm’s cyber positioning with clients and reinsurers.

What you need to have:

- Qualified actuary (FIA/FCAS/FSA or equivalent), with significant post-qualification experience in (re)insurance pricing and portfolio analytics.
- Prior experience in cyber (re)insurance, including cyber pricing and portfolio analytics and/or cyber tail risk/aggregation/systemic risk considerations.
- Demonstrated expertise in building and governing actuarial models and methodologies, including documentation of assumptions, limitations, and uncertainty.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical outputs into clear, client-ready insights and commercially actionable recommendations for placements and portfolio strategy.

What makes you stand out?

- Strong understanding of reinsurance structuring and the broking lifecycle, with credibility in supporting negotiations and reinsurer engagement.
- Thought leadership track record (market insights, benchmarking, research, or external speaking/publishing) in cyber or specialty (re)insurance analytics.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams, including hiring, coaching, and setting quality/peer review standards.
