Ruolo: Senior Cyber Defence Manager

Lead and continuously evolve the organization’s Cyber Defense and Security Operations capabilities to protect critical business services, customer data, digital platforms, and corporate assets. The role is accountable for the operational execution of the Cyber Security strategy, ensuring effective threat detection, response, exposure reduction, and cyber resilience across Sky Italy.

As a senior leader within the Cyber Security organization, the role drives operational excellence, security innovation, and continuous improvement while supporting business transformation, regulatory compliance, and risk management objectives. The position acts as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders during cyber incidents and strategic security initiatives.

What you’ll do:

- Lead Security Operations and Cyber Defense activities across the organization.
- Oversee the end-to-end detection, investigation, containment, and recovery processes for cyber incidents.
- Drive the evolution of security monitoring and automation capabilities to improve operational effectiveness and cyber resilience.
- Establish and maintain a risk-based Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) program to proactively identify and reduce security exposure.
- Manage Security Operations Center (SOC) services, ensuring appropriate coverage, service quality, and operational readiness.
- Collaborate with Technology, Digital, Data and Product teams locally and at Group level
- Ensure continuous improvement of security controls through threat intelligence, lessons learned, purple teaming, threat hunting, and attack simulation activities.
- Support executive reporting and decision-making through meaningful cyber risk and operational security metrics.

What we're looking for:

- Proven experience leading Cyber Security Operations, Security Operations Centers (SOC), or Cyber Defense teams.
- Strong background in incident response, threat detection, and cyber resilience.
- Experience managing complex security programs, vendors, and strategic initiatives.
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive organizational change.
- Experience working with executive stakeholders and communicating cyber risks in a clear and business-focused way.

Good understanding of:

- Security Operations and Threat Detection.
- SIEM, EDR/XDR, and Security Monitoring technologies.
- Security Automation and Orchestration platforms.
- Vulnerability and Exposure Management.
- Threat Intelligence and Threat Hunting.
- Cloud and enterprise security environments.

Leadership skills

- Strategic thinking and execution.
- People leadership and talent development.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Executive communication and reporting.
- Crisis management and decision-making under pressure.
- Ability to lead large-scale transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.

- 7+ years of experience in Cyber Security leadership roles.
- Experience operating in complex, highly regulated, and customer-focused environments.
- Relevant industry certifications are considered a plus.

What we offer:

For Employees Covered by the Private Radio and Television Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL), the salary starts from: €68.000.

Contract type: Permanent

The actual compensation package will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and specific skills.The role is also eligible for the annual incentive scheme.
