Purpose
Topic: Optimization and Automation of FEA Post-Processing for Structural and Mechanical Engineering
As part of this internship, you will analyze the current FEA workflow used within the Structural and Mechanical Engineering disciplines and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and digitalization.
6 months internship, based in Monaco
Responsibilities
- Analyze the use of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to assess the integrity and performance of offshore and industrial equipment.
- Review activities related to preparing model input data, extracting simulation results, post-processing large datasets, generating plots, and compiling engineering reports.
- Assess how these activities are currently performed and identify manual and repetitive tasks within the workflow.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and digitalization of engineering processes.
- Contribute to the analysis and optimization of the current FEA workflow used within the Structural and Mechanical Engineering disciplines.
Education
- Currently enrolled in a Master's degree program in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Interest in finite element analysis, structural or mechanical engineering, and digitalization of engineering processes.
- Basic knowledge of programming and engineering software tools.
- Familiarity with Advanced Finite Element Modelling, Model Simplification, FEMAP, API Development, and Programming is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills in English.
