About AAB AAB is a tech-enabled, business-critical services group providing accountancy, tax, audit, corporate finance, HR, payroll and advisory services to businesses across the UK and Ireland.

The Opportunity We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Placement Student to join our Audit and Business Advisory team for a 12-month placement. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a professional services environment, develop technical tax knowledge, and learn from experienced tax specialists. Working as part of a supportive team, you will assist with a range of client assignments while developing valuable commercial, analytical and communication skills.

We have exciting placement opportunities available in our Newry, Dungannon, Mallusk and Belfast offices.

Entry Requirements

- Assist the preparation of audit working papers and financial statement reviews.
- Assist with testing financial controls and verifying supporting documentation.
- Help gather, organise, and analyse financial information for audit and advisory engagements.
- Maintain accurate records, audit files, and documentation in line with professional standards.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet client deadlines and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to business advisory projects, providing insights and support to help clients achieve their goals.
- Develop an understanding of accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practice.
What We're Looking For
- Currently studying towards a degree in any discipline
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Good numerical and analytical abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Enthusiastic, proactive and eager to learn.
