GPS Business Manager

HSBC Brazil supports large local corporations, multinational companies and institutional investors through specialist banking and financial solutions. Global Payments Solutions (GPS) provides payments, cash management and liquidity solutions to corporate and institutional clients, leveraging HSBC’s global network and capabilities.

The role will also support business management with strategy and core activities, such as result optimization, performance reporting and dashboards. It will contribute to process resilience and continuous improvement, helping GPS execute its priorities and surpass goals in partnership with Product, Sales, Operations and relevant functions.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and continuously improve key processes, ensuring clear ownership, effective governance and appropriate documentation accordingly to group standards.

- Support the identification, assessment and proactive management of operational and non-financial risks, monitoring the effectiveness of controls, issues and actions.

- Promote process resilience, operational efficiency and business continuity by identifying vulnerabilities and improvement opportunities.

- Promote a strong risk and control culture, enabling the business to grow within the applicable risk appetite and governance framework.

- Support the team in the occasion of reviews performed by Risk, Compliance and Audit.

- C ontribute to strategic initiatives aimed at improving business performance, operational effectiveness, process resilience and business outcomes.

- Support the team in managing business performance and executing key priorities to surpass goals.

- Contribute with business to identify trends, variances, risks and opportunities, translating findings into clear and actionable insights and actions.

- Support the team in improving reporting and dashboards to support management, strategy execution, control and decision-making.

- Work in partnership with Product, Sales, Operations, Finance, Risk, Compliance and other related areas to deliver business priorities.

Qualifications

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (VBA, Power Query, Pivot Tables as a differentiator) and PowerPoint.

- Fluent Portuguese and advanced English, both written and spoken. Spanish is a plus.

- Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Accounting or a related field.

- Relevant experience in business management, controls, risk, operations, finance, consulting or banking.

- Experience in a global banking environment and in working with regional or global stakeholders is desirable.

- Ability to connect operational detail with broader business priorities and strategic objectives.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to engage effectively with senior leadership and regional and global teams.

- Strong analytical skills and experience working with KPIs, management information, reporting and dashboards.
