About this role
Motorica is at a breakthrough moment
We are changing how games are animated. By combining proprietary motion capture data with state-of-the-art diffusion models, we let studios generate AAA-quality character animation in minutes instead of weeks, at a fraction of the traditional cost. Animators keep full control over style, timing and transitions, and export straight into Unreal, Unity, Maya and Blender.
Our technology is already used by some of the biggest names in gaming, and demand from major studios is growing fast.
The role in one line
You own our performers and their performances from end to end: who we cast, how they are briefed and rehearsed, how they are directed on the stage, which takes we keep, and how they get better over time. Everything we capture trains Motorica’s motion models, so the performance you draw out of a person is the product.

The performer process you run
- Cast. Find and book the right actors, stunt performers, athletes and movement specialists for each data request. Build and manage the performer network, agencies and stunt talent, and widen the pool where it is thin.
- Prepare. Turn requests from ML, Product and Animation into shooting plans and performer briefs. Run rehearsals when a session needs them, so performers walk in knowing the character and the motion list.
- Direct. Run the floor on shoot days. Coach each performer to clear, physically truthful motion that reads in gameplay, and keep the day on schedule and safe.
- Select. Make the best-take calls against our performance and data-quality standards and hand downstream teams usable data the first time.
- Develop. Give performers feedback, run workshops that raise their skills, and keep a record of who is strong at what, so casting gets better every month.
- Scale. Define the processes for casting, preparation, direction, take selection and reporting. Then hire and lead the Shooting team that runs them, including freelancers and external partners, and lead client sessions on-site and remote.
What you bring
- Experience directing physical performance in mocap, stunts, film, theatre, dance or sport. You get a better take out of a person than they walked in with.
- Casting and talent management experience. You know how to find specialist performers and work with agencies.
- A strong eye for movement: timing, weight, balance, gameplay readability.
- Calm leadership under time pressure, on a floor with a live clock.
- Experience leading people, including freelancers and external partners.
- Fluent English and the ability to work on-site in Stockholm.
Nice to have
- Game animation experience (locomotion, combat, traversal).
- Stunt or fight background.
- Remote direction experience.
- Interest in how machine learning models learn from motion.
- Swedish.
Success looks like
The right performers on the stage, prepared before they arrive, directed to clean and expressive takes with fewer wasted ones, and a growing performer pool that improves session over session. Around that, a shoot team and standards that hold as Motorica grows.
