About this role
Omaha, Nebraska | Full-time, on-site
$85,000–$100,000 annually + benefits
Overview:
Being the strongest paramedic on a crew doesn’t automatically prepare you to manage one. This job takes clinical credibility, but it also takes patience, follow-through, and the ability to get people working together when personalities and priorities collide.
AlediumHR is recruiting a Paramedic Manager for a paramedic-owned ambulance and medical transport company in Omaha. You’ll lead a team of approximately 10–11 paramedics and EMTs supporting a single ambulance operation that runs around the clock.
It’s a small enough team that you’ll know the people you manage. Your decisions will directly affect their work, the care patients receive, and whether the station is ready for the next call.
Responsibilities:
That includes schedules, staffing, supplies, equipment readiness, and chart review. You’ll coach your team, address performance issues, and maintain consistent clinical and operational standards.
Recruiting and retaining paramedics and EMTs is a substantial part of this role. You’ll need to anticipate staffing needs, help bring good people aboard, and create a working environment that gives them reasons to stay.
The position is intended to operate primarily during regular business hours. Because the service runs 24/7, you’ll also be expected to cover shifts when staffing gaps cannot otherwise be filled. This is a salaried position, and candidates should understand that responsibility upfront.
You’ll build relationships with Omaha-area hospitals and facilities and work directly with the founder and leadership team on the station’s development and potential growth in Nebraska. An assistant and a network of other leaders will provide support.
What Matters:
We’re looking for someone who understands EMS crew dynamics. Someone who can earn cooperation, handle disagreements, and have a direct conversation about performance without letting it become personal.
You should have examples of how you’ve led people, resolved problems, or helped a team improve. Your title alone won’t tell us that.
The company strongly emphasizes family, teamwork, optimism, and pride in the work. That means being approachable, following through on what you say you’ll do, and taking responsibility when something needs attention. The right person will care about building a team and staying long enough to see the results.
You must be a paramedic licensed in Nebraska or able to obtain Nebraska licensure, with ALS experience and demonstrated leadership ability. Critical care transport experience, including CCT-P or CCP credentials, is a plus.
Compensation and benefits:
The anticipated salary range is $85,000–$100,000 annually, depending on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage; a 401(k) with company matching; and education, wellness, and uniform pay.
This position is based entirely on-site in Omaha.
If you’ve earned your crew’s respect and are ready to take responsibility for running a station, we’d like to speak with you.
AlediumHR is managing the search. Inquiries will be handled confidentially.
