About this role
About the Job
The Head of IT Delivery is an executive leadership role and a key member of the local management team at Allianz Technology Thailand — a global delivery hub serving Allianz operating entities worldwide. You will own and orchestrate a multi-domain delivery portfolio, driving delivery excellence, run stability, cost-effectiveness, and innovation in alignment with Allianz Group and Allianz Technology strategic priorities. This role is the single point of accountability for all delivery and operations outcomes across the portfolio, from engineering execution to C-level stakeholder engagement across geographies.
What you do
- Define and execute the end-to-end IT delivery strategy across the assigned portfolio, ensuring alignment with Allianz Group, Allianz Technology, and the strategic priorities of served operating entities globally
- Own delivery excellence across change and run — driving predictable throughput, quality, and time-to-market while embedding product-centric ways of working and continuous improvement
- Manage the portfolio P&L including budget planning, run-vs-change ratios, OE chargeback, vendor spend optimisation, and business case ownership in line with Allianz Technology TCO standards
- Act as single point of accountability for Group functions and operating entity counterparts up to C-level, translating business needs into delivery commitments across geographies and cultures
- Lead and develop a multi-tribe organisation of product owners, engineering managers, SREs, and platform specialists — building an agile, product-centric culture with a healthy succession pipeline
- Identify, assess, and mitigate delivery, operational, regulatory, and cyber risks across the portfolio; ensure full adherence to Allianz Group standards, local regulations, and insurance-sector requirements including DORA and GDPR
- Define and monitor OKRs and performance metrics to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality IT solutions, maintaining full transparency to leadership and operating entity stakeholders
What you bring
- Proven leadership of large-scale, multi-domain IT delivery portfolios in a global, regulated environment — ideally within a global delivery hub model; strong knowledge of the insurance industry is a distinct advantage
- Deep command of the full SDLC with hands-on fluency in modern delivery practices: agile/scaled agile, CI/CD, DevSecOps, SRE, GitOps, and cloud-native operations including Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ArgoCD)
- Strong stakeholder management and C-level relationship skills across diverse cultures, with demonstrated experience leading international transformation programmes covering both technology and organisational change
- Basic knowledge of AI technology, principles, and their practical use — including experience with AI-powered coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Amazon Q and familiarity with how Large Language Models can be applied in IT delivery contexts
- 15+ years of experience in IT and general management
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent professional experience considered
Your benefits
- We offer a hybrid work model which recognizes the value of striking a balance between in-person collaboration and remote working incl. up to 25 days per year working from abroad.
- We believe in rewarding performance and our compensation and benefits package includes a company bonus scheme, pension, employee shares program and multiple employee discounts (details vary by location).
- From career development and digital learning programs to international career mobility, we offer lifelong learning for our employees worldwide and an environment where innovation, delivery and empowerment are fostered.
- Flexible working, health and wellbeing offers (including healthcare and parental leave benefits) support to balance family and career and help our people return from career breaks with experience that nothing else can teach.
