Lead Server – Freedom Village Holland

Currently Hiring: Full‑time

Pay: $16.25 per hour
About the Role

- Assist the Catering and Dining Room Manager with daily operations

- Ensure efficient, courteous seating and service for residents and guests

- Maintain the appearance, organization, and readiness of dining areas and server stations

- Provide leadership, training, and support to dining room staff

- Uphold hospitality and wellness standards that define the Freedom Village experience

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee dining room appearance including tables, chairs, floors, lighting, and server stations

- Coordinate seating for residents and guests

- Schedule stations and work assignments for servers

- Provide on‑the‑job training, including workplace safety procedures

- Record meal counts, reservations, and additional charges

- Maintain full knowledge of POS system

- Assign pre‑ and post‑shift side work

- Assign servers to work stations

- Wait tables and provide beverage/bar service as needed

- Participate in cost‑control measures

- Check supplies (linens, carry‑out goods, etc.)

- Report maintenance or equipment issues to appropriate departments

- Attend in‑service training and education sessions

- Complete additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Minimum 2 years Lead Server/Trainer experience in fine dining, club, hotel, or similar environment

- Strong leadership and communication skills

- Availability to work any of the 7 days per week

- Ability to interpret menus, answer questions, and coordinate meal service

- Ability to work professionally with residents, families, visitors, and staff

- State‑required health and/or alcohol compliance card
