- Manage complete product development programs from RFQ through SOP and establish project timelines, milestones, resourceplans, and risk management strategies.
- Lead cross-functional engineering reviews, governance meetings and drive issue resolution and escalation management.
- Ensure compliance with customer CAD standards and internal engineering processes required by EDAG and our clients.
- Act as primary technical/program contact for our customers (OEMs & Tiers1) and align customer expectations with developmentcapability and program timing.
- Lead design reviews and status reporting with customer engineering teams.
- Lead cross functional teams and work closely with: Product engineering, CAE, manufacturing engineering, quality and suppliers.
- Ensure design compliance with: DFMEA, DFM/DFA, GD&T, packaging requirements, quality standards and release readiness.
- Lead multi-site engineering teams and support workforce planning and capacity management.
- Mentor CAD leaders / design engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS
- 15+ year of experience inside the automotive industry in development area & 5 years leading development programs/teams.
- Knowledge in interior, exterior trim, BIW, Closures.
- Advance knowledge in APQP, DFMEA, DVP&R, DFA, DFM, PPAP, GD&T and Materials.
- Experience managing global teams and customer-facing projects and proven record of launching automotive products intoproduction.
- International Experience (desirable)
- Experience in developing phase from: Concept until tooling kick off.
- English B2 (Advanced)
- German A2 (desirable)
