About this role
Senior Enterprise Business Systems Engineer - Quote to Cash
Hyderabad (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote) | Business Technology | Reports to: Director, Enterprise Business Systems
The Role
We’re hiring a Senior Enterprise Business Systems Engineer to own the technical development and evolution of Nasuni’s Quote-to-Cash systems. This role is centered on Salesforce CPQ and the integrations that connect quoting, pricing, approvals, and billing into a reliable end-to-end revenue process — from opportunity through order to cash collection in NetSuite.
You’ll be the developer who builds and maintains the CPQ configuration, writes the Apex and Flow automation that powers complex pricing and approval logic, designs the integration patterns between Salesforce and NetSuite, and ensures the entire quote-to-cash pipeline is scalable, accurate, and fast. You’ll work closely with Revenue Operations, Finance, Deal Desk, and Sales to translate business rules into production-grade technical solutions.
This is a hands-on engineering role — not administration and not ticket work. You’ll own CI/CD pipelines, write code daily, manage deployments, and drive DevOps practices across the CPQ and quote-to-cash domain. If you want to engineer the revenue backbone of a high-growth SaaS company, this is the role.
What You’ll Do
CPQ Development & Configuration
- Design, develop, and maintain Salesforce CPQ solutions — product rules, pricing rules, discount schedules, quote templates, approval chains, and advanced quoting workflows.
- Build custom Apex triggers, classes, and batch processes that extend CPQ functionality beyond declarative configuration.
- Develop and optimize Salesforce Flows to automate quote lifecycle events, approval routing, and downstream data updates.
- Translate complex pricing models, bundling logic, and discount structures into scalable CPQ configurations that sales teams can use confidently.
- Troubleshoot and resolve CPQ calculation issues, performance bottlenecks, and edge cases in quote generation.
Salesforce-to-NetSuite Integration
- Develop and maintain the integration between Salesforce and NetSuite that moves closed-won opportunities, order data, and billing information across systems accurately and reliably.
- Design integration patterns — field mappings, data transformations, error handling, retry logic, and reconciliation processes — that ensure data integrity between CRM and ERP.
- Workato is the preferred iPaaS: build and maintain recipes, connectors, and monitoring dashboards that support the Salesforce–NetSuite data flow.
- Partner with Finance and Accounting teams to ensure revenue recognition, invoicing, and order data are synchronized correctly.
- Diagnose and resolve integration failures, data mismatches, and sync errors across the quote-to-cash pipeline.
Apex, Flow & Platform Development
- Write clean, well-tested Apex code — triggers, classes, batch and scheduled jobs, REST/SOAP callouts — following Salesforce development best practices.
- Build and maintain complex Salesforce Flows for business process automation across the quote-to-cash lifecycle.
- Develop Lightning Web Components where custom UI is needed for quoting, approvals, or deal desk workflows.
- Enforce governor limit awareness, bulkification patterns, and separation of concerns in all platform code.
DevOps, CI/CD & Release Management
- Own and improve CI/CD pipelines for the CPQ and quote-to-cash domain using Git-based source control and deployment tools (Gearset or similar).
- Manage branching strategies, pull request reviews, environment promotion, and release planning across development, staging, and production orgs.
- Write and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and validation rules that protect deployment quality.
- Maintain deployment runbooks, rollback procedures, and post-deployment verification checklists.
Delivery & Collaboration
- Own technical delivery of quote-to-cash initiatives from requirements through production deployment.
- Write technical specifications, data flow diagrams, and solution design documents.
- Partner with Revenue Operations, Deal Desk, Finance, and Sales to understand business requirements and translate them into well-engineered solutions.
- Troubleshoot production issues, drive root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
- Mentor fellow developers through code reviews, design discussions, and technical guidance.
AI & Intelligent Automation
- Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate engineering while maintaining code quality and ownership.
- Identify opportunities for AI-enabled automation within the quote-to-cash process — intelligent approval routing, pricing recommendations, anomaly detection — with appropriate governance.
- Contribute to Nasuni’s vision of an agentic GTM platform where AI agents connected through Model Context Protocols (MCPs) augment routine revenue operations.
Qualifications
Must Have
- 7+ years in enterprise application engineering, including 5+ years of Salesforce platform development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce CPQ — product configuration, pricing rules, discount schedules, approval processes, and quote templates.
- Deep Apex development skills — triggers, classes, batch/scheduled jobs, callouts, test classes — with a focus on clean, maintainable code.
- Strong Salesforce Flow development skills for business process automation.
- Hands-on experience managing integrations between Salesforce and NetSuite (or comparable ERP), including field mapping, data transformation, and error handling.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based development workflows (Gearset, Copado, or similar).
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, event-driven integrations, webhooks, and data synchronization patterns.
- Experience working with DevOps practices in a Salesforce environment — source control, branching strategies, automated testing, environment management.
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification.
- Salesforce Administrator certification.
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred
- Experience with Workato as an integration platform — recipes, connectors, callable recipes, error handling, and API management.
- Salesforce CPQ Specialist certification.
- Platform Developer II certification.
- Experience with Salesforce Billing or Revenue Cloud.
- Familiarity with NetSuite SuiteScript, saved searches, or SuiteTalk APIs.
- SQL proficiency for data analysis, troubleshooting, and reporting validation.
- Experience with LWC development for custom quoting or deal desk interfaces.
- Track record of mentoring developers and guiding technical initiatives at high-growth SaaS companies.
Ideal
- B2B Solution Architect or OmniStudio Developer credentials.
- Experience with headless, API-first, or composable CRM modernization in the quote-to-cash domain.
- Experience designing multi-currency, multi-entity, or channel/partner quoting models.
- AI-enabled workflow automation — agentic patterns, intelligent approval flows, or AI-assisted pricing optimization.
- Experience with Salesforce DX, scratch orgs, and package-based development models.
Experience Guidelines
- 7–10+ years of enterprise application engineering experience.
- 5+ years of Salesforce platform development, with meaningful CPQ project experience.
- 2+ years working with Salesforce–ERP integrations (NetSuite strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated hands-on DevOps and CI/CD experience in a Salesforce environment.
- Experience supporting rapidly growing SaaS organizations with complex quoting and billing workflows.
Where We’re Headed
We’re building toward a next-generation GTM platform:
- Headless CRM — decoupling the user experience from the underlying platform so teams can interact with CRM data through purpose-built interfaces, agents, and workflows rather than being confined to a single application’s UI.
- Composable integration — iPaaS, cloud data platforms, and intelligent middleware stitching best-of-breed tools into a unified revenue operating system.
- Agentic workflows — AI agents connected through Model Context Protocols (MCPs) that can execute routine GTM operations like lead routing, data enrichment, and deal hygiene with human oversight at key decision points.
- Event-driven data where it matters — selectively replacing batch syncs with real-time patterns in the parts of the stack where latency has a measurable business impact.
- Data activation — using reverse ETL and warehouse-native patterns to push curated data back into GTM tools when the use case demands it, not as a default for every flow.
If you want to shape what CRM becomes — not just maintain what it is today — this is the role.
