About this role

About ESO

ESO is a fast-paced, growing data, technology, and research company passionate about improving community health and safety through the power of data. We pioneer innovative, user-friendly software to meet the changing needs of today’s EMS agencies, fire departments, and hospitals. We’re small enough to be nimble and fun, but big enough to be a great place to work. We serve thousands of customers out of our offices across North America, Europe and now Costa Rica!

Are you ready to Make a Difference? At ESO, we believe in bringing your true self to work every single day. If you don’t match all the qualifications on the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway! We are looking for passionate, innovative, and authentic people to help drive our mission.

ESO is looking for a Marketing Operations Specialist to manage how leads move from first touch to our sales development representatives (SDRs) and market development representatives (MDRs), and to build the data foundation behind our marketing pipeline. You’ll process leads, run campaign operations in Salesforce, manage list uploads, and keep campaign and lead data clean and consistent so we can trust our attribution reporting. Every campaign, event, and channel we run should be traceable to pipeline, and you’ll make that possible.

You’ll also help us put AI to work across the marketing department. We run much of our recurring operational work through Claude Skills, and we want someone who can build new ones, keep existing ones accurate, and help marketers use them in their daily work.

This role reports to the Director of Marketing Operations, sits on the Marketing team, and is based in Costa Rica. You’ll work closely with GTM Technology and Operations, Sales Development, RevOps, and marketing program owners across US time zones.

What you’ll be doing

Operationalizing AI in marketing

- Build and maintain Claude Skills for recurring marketing operations work such as list prep, lead assignment checks, data cleanup, campaign setup, and reporting

- Find manual, repetitive tasks across the marketing team and turn them into documented, repeatable AI workflows

- Review AI output for accuracy before it reaches a report, a list, or a rep

- Help marketers adopt these workflows with clear documentation and hands-on support, and track the time they save

Campaign operations in Salesforce

- Create and manage Salesforce campaigns for events, webinars, paid media, content, and outbound programs, using a consistent naming structure and campaign hierarchy

- Set up campaign member statuses and keep campaign membership accurate so engagement and influence are counted correctly

- Partner with marketing program owners to make sure each campaign is set up, tracked, and closed out correctly

List uploads and data quality

- Run list uploads from events (Cvent), trade shows, webinars, purchased lists, and Clay enrichment into Salesforce and HubSpot

- Clean, format, deduplicate, and match records to existing accounts and contacts before they enter the system

- Flag data quality issues and system problems to GTM Technology and Operations for resolution

Lead management and handoff to SDRs and MDRs

- Monitor the assignment inbound leads and outbound lists to SDRs and MDRs based on engagement, territory, segment, and agreed assignment rules

- Distribute event, webinar, and campaign lists to the right reps with the context they need, including source, campaign, and engagement history

- Keep lead status and lifecycle stages accurate from new lead through accepted opportunity

Attribution foundations

- Maintain UTM standards and tracking for paid, social, email, and web campaigns

- Keep lead source, campaign, and offer fields consistent across Salesforce and HubSpot so attribution reports reflect what actually happened

- Build and maintain the campaign and pipeline reports that feed marketing attribution, including campaign influence and pipeline by channel

- Audit campaign and lead data on a regular cadence and fix gaps before they reach a dashboard

Who you are

- Two to four years in marketing operations, ideally at a B2B SaaS company

- Hands-on Salesforce experience with leads, campaigns, campaign members, reports, and data imports

- Experience supporting lead management or lead handoff to sales development teams

- Working experience with HubSpot or another marketing automation platform

- A clear understanding of how campaign data, lead source, and UTMs connect to attribution reporting

- Comfortable working with large spreadsheets, including lookups, deduplication, and data cleanup

- You’ve used AI tools like Claude to do real work, and you can walk us through a workflow you built and what it changed

- You notice when a number looks wrong and find out why

- You document what you build so someone else can run it

- Fluent in written and spoken English, with working hours that overlap US Central time

- Bonus: experience with Cvent, Clay, Google Analytics 4, or Power BI

All offers are contingent upon a successful background check.
