ASU EdPlus is a dynamic unit of Arizona State University focused on the design and scalable delivery of digital teaching and learning models to increase student success and reduce barriers to achievement in higher education. We are seeking a detail-oriented Content Systems Coordinator to support the content systems that power ASU Online and the broader EdPlus web ecosystem. Every day you’ll make a difference in the lives of others by leading the hands-on work that keeps content accurate, consistent and well-organized across our content management system (Drupal) and internal knowledge bases (Guru).

Content systems are the foundation for everything across the AI Content Strategy and Systems team. When a program page is accurate, a Guru article is current and content is structured well, students find what they need and teams across EdPlus can trust what they're reading. You will do the hands-on work that makes that true every day, from publishing, quality-checking and auditing, to organizing content across our CMS and knowledge bases.

You will learn a major CMS from the inside, working alongside content strategists, developers and marketers, and build real skills in content governance, accessibility and structured content, including how AI is reshaping it all. If you're the person who fixes the broken link, wants to know why it broke and asks the clarifying questions before it becomes a problem again, this position might be right for you.

Essential Duties:

- Publish, update and maintain content across ASU Online and other EdPlus web properties using our content management system (Drupal), following established templates, workflows and style standards.
- Maintain content within internal knowledge base platforms (e.g., Guru), keeping program information, resources and documentation current, clearly written, well-structured and easy to find.
- Partner with portfolio, UX, marketing, product and operations teams to gather accurate source information and help ensure new and updated content is reflected consistently across our web properties and knowledge bases.
- Own day-to-day content update requests for our CMS systems and knowledge base end-to-end, confirming details, making the updates and communicating status through completion.
- Consistently apply content governance standards, including tagging, metadata, taxonomy and template conventions, across content so it stays structured, findable and usable by internal teams, search engines and AI tools.
- Proofread and quality-check content before publication for spelling, grammar, formatting, brand voice and link accuracy.
- Support scheduled content audits by gathering data, populating audit trackers and documenting findings for review.
- Build and maintain content inventories and trackers that document what content exists, where it lives and how it's structured; use those resources to support migrations and site updates.
- Maintain documentation of content processes, publishing procedures and system conventions, with the goal of keeping guidance clear and up to date.
- Learn and help pilot AI-assisted tools that improve content quality, consistency and efficiency; help evaluate their fit for our content systems.
- Assume or coordinate additional duties or projects as assigned.

NOTE : This is an in-person hybrid position. You must be able to reliably commute to Scottsdale, Arizona.

Desired Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in communication, marketing, English, journalism, information science or a related field.
- Experience in content publishing, content strategy, communications, editorial support or a related area.
- Experience with updating and publishing content in a content management system (Drupal experience a plus).
- Demonstrated ability maintaining content in an internal knowledge base, wiki or documentation platform (e.g., Guru, Confluence, Notion, SharePoint), or demonstrated ability to organize information so other people and AI can easily find it.
- Evidence of exceptional attention to detail and strong proofreading and editing skills, including experience applying a style guide across content to consistently maintain quality across high-volume work.
- Demonstrated familiarity with basic HTML and comfort working in a CMS source or code view, including preparing images for web publishing.
- Demonstrated strong organizational skills and the ability to own many small requests, including comfort working with spreadsheets, trackers, documentation tools and work management platforms (e.g., Jira, Airtable).
- Evidence of familiarity with SEO fundamentals, metadata, taxonomy and accessibility standards (WCAG) as they apply to content, including heading structure, alt text and descriptive link text.
- Demonstrated strong collaboration and communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for cross-functional problem-solving, with the ability to gather information from stakeholders and follow through reliably.
- Demonstrated curiosity about AI tools and interest in learning how they can improve content quality, consistency and efficiency.

NOTE: Please answer the following questions in your cover letter:

- What content management systems, knowledge bases or publishing tools have you used, and what projects did you work on with them?
- Describe a time you noticed something was wrong or inconsistent in a system, document or process. What happened and what did you do about it?
