About this role

Established in 1993, Gadge USA is a national packaging supply and supply-chain solutions company with an expansive distribution network. We manage packaging portfolios across multiple categories through a scalable service model that delivers packaging solutions and continuous improvement to our customers.

The Project Manager – Business Operations manages cross-functional projects and recurring business processes that support accurate execution, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement. This role brings structure and accountability to work involving Customer Accounts, Purchasing, Accounting, Finance, Projects, Sales, and other teams.

A key responsibility is managing the end-to-end vendor and customer price change process, including changes driven by index movements, contractual adjustments, and other business needs. When price change activity is lighter, this individual will manage additional operational projects and process improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will organize work, coordinate stakeholders, validate data, manage communications, and drive initiatives from planning through implementation and follow-up. We are looking for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and persistent in getting work completed.

A formal Project Manager title is not required. Candidates may have developed these skills through business operations, executive support, project coordination, supply chain, finance, or other roles involving complex work and multiple stakeholders.

What You Will Do:

Project Management and Cross-Functional Coordination

- Manage cross-functional projects from initiation through completion.
- Define project scope, timelines, milestones, responsibilities, and action plans with stakeholders.
- Coordinate activities across departments and ensure participants understand their deliverables and deadlines.
- Monitor progress, anticipate delays, and proactively address roadblocks.
- Follow up consistently and drive completion of agreed-upon actions.
- Maintain project trackers and provide clear status updates to stakeholders and management.
- Escalate unresolved issues and recommend practical solutions.
- Confirm implementation is complete and review results to identify gaps and lessons learned.

Price Change Management

- Own and coordinate the complete vendor and customer price change process.
- Monitor relevant pricing publications and track contractual requirements, effective dates, and required approvals.
- Partner with Purchasing, Finance, Customer Accounts, Sales, and other teams to validate calculations, supporting data, and pricing impacts.
- Coordinate the preparation and issuance of vendor and customer notifications.
- Ensure communications accurately reflect approved adjustments, effective dates, supporting documentation, and contractual requirements.
- Work with stakeholders to address questions, exceptions, and customer or vendor concerns.
- Coordinate required system updates and verify that changes are implemented accurately and on time.
- Maintain complete records supporting price changes and conduct post-implementation reviews.

Data Management and Reporting

- Review project data, calculations, and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Use Excel to analyze information, reconcile discrepancies, and develop tracking and reporting tools.
- Work with stakeholders to resolve data inconsistencies before implementation.
- Maintain organized records of approvals, communications, decisions, and implementation activities.
- Keep relevant customer, contract, and pricing information aligned across Salesforce, the ERP, and SharePoint.

Operational Projects and Process Improvement

- Manage additional operational projects based on business priorities and available capacity.
- Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, improve coordination, and reduce errors.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, checklists, and workflow documentation.
- Support the implementation of tools and processes that improve visibility and accountability.
- Work with department leaders to turn improvement opportunities into practical action plans.
- Incorporate lessons learned into future projects and recurring processes.

Requirements

Required Skills and Experience:

- 3–5+ years of experience coordinating complex initiatives, managing operational processes, or supporting cross-functional projects. Relevant backgrounds may include business operations, executive support, project coordination, supply chain, or finance.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of work, manage timelines, and coordinate multiple stakeholders to drive completion.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to anticipate problems, address gaps, and follow up effectively without relying on constant direction.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and tracking and reporting tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and influence others without direct authority.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience managing operational projects, recurring business processes, or process improvement initiatives.
- Experience working with customer or vendor data, contracts, pricing, or cost changes.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, such as Sage/MAS 100.
- Experience with Salesforce and SharePoint.
- Experience developing SOPs, checklists, and workflow documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.
- Prior pricing experience and a formal project management background are helpful but are not required. We welcome candidates—including experienced executive assistants and operations professionals—who can demonstrate that they have successfully organized complex work, exercised sound judgment, and driven initiatives through completion.

The Ideal Candidate Will Be:

- An organized professional who brings structure to complex work.
- Proactive and persistent in moving initiatives forward.
- Comfortable working with detailed data and checking accuracy.
- A clear communicator who builds productive relationships across departments.
- Accountable for results and willing to address issues directly.
- Process-minded, with the ability to identify improvements and follow through on implementation.
- Adaptable as priorities shift between recurring processes and new projects.
