About this role
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience reviewing mechanical designs, drawings, or manufacturing documentation.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical drafting practices and engineering documentation.
- In-depth understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
- Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter PDM system
- Knowledge of common manufacturing processes including: CNC mil land lath machining, Sheet metal fabrication, Welding, Injection molding and Precision assembly
- Strong knowledge of surface finishing and coatings
- General understanding of mechanics of materials and various materials for selection
- Experience performing tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Excellence (DFX) principles.
- Certified GD&T Professional (ASME) or equivalent training is a plus.
- Required: Strong attention to detail and ability to identify documentation and design issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
