About the department
UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub2) is a UOB-wholly owned subsidiary and a Centre of Excellence based in Malaysia, providing Group Business Services (GBS) to support the UOB Group. Started in 2021 with technology application design, development and support, InnoHub2 is expanding beyond technology services to deliver other business services to support the Bank’s growth ambition. We are looking for talented and motivated individuals to be part of the pioneer team spearheading the development and delivery of the new services.

Job Summary
The incumbent plays a key role in leading and developing a team, managing client relationships, and ensuring the efficient execution of banking operations in alignment with the bank's strategic objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of banking professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
* Manage and grow a portfolio of key client accounts, identifying their financial needs and providing tailored banking solutions, including loans, deposits, and investment products.
* Oversee daily operational activities within the assigned department or branch, ensuring smooth workflow, adherence to service level agreements, and optimal resource utilization.
* Implement and monitor risk management frameworks, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies to safeguard the bank's assets and reputation.
* Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and contribute to the development of innovative products and services.
* Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and proposed solutions.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless cross-functional operations and enhance overall customer experience.
* Ensure strict adherence to all banking laws, regulations, and internal compliance standards.

Job Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, FRM) is a plus.
* Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in the banking or financial services industry, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
* Proven track record of successful team leadership, coaching, and performance management.
* Strong understanding of banking products, services, and operational processes.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
* Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset.
* Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements and risk management principles within the financial sector.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant banking software.
