About this role
Job Description
Just imagine helping thousands of colleagues navigate data and knowledge platforms through experiences that feel intuitive, connected, and truly useful. Then make it real.
About the role
As our Senior Service Designer - Data Platforms, you'll help create a user-centred experience across the tools and services offered throughout the organisation. This is the first Service Design role in the Data Office, giving you a unique opportunity to influence how products are shaped and experienced. You'll sit within the Design competency in Digital Platforms and Infrastructure while dedicating your work to Data Office initiatives. Your service design practice will help inform product portfolio decisions and support the implementation of the Data Office's digital strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, reconcile competing priorities, and drive alignment on critical business decisions.
- Delivered service blueprints and journey maps that informed product or business decisions.
- Conducted user and stakeholder research, synthesizing insights into clear recommendations.
- Built stakeholder and ecosystem maps that supported product planning and prioritization.
- Owned end-to-end design work for a product, from scoping through delivery.
- Facilitated workshops that enabled teams to align on decisions and next steps.
Preferred Qualifications
- Built or scaled a service design capability, practice, or offering.
- Applied service design methods within data platform or B2B tooling environments.
- Translated service design findings into product management decisions and activities.
What you'll build
- Create user-centred journeys for data and knowledge platforms used across the organisation.
- Shape product portfolio decisions through service design methods, processes, and tools.
- Guide Product Managers in adopting user-centred approaches to product development.
- Develop stakeholder-aligned service blueprints for key Data Office products.
- Help establish the value and impact of service design within the Data Office.
If you've worked in a role where your research, journey maps, or service blueprints directly influenced business outcomes, you'll feel at home here. What matters most is your ability to turn insight into action and help others make informed decisions.
Life on the team
You'll join a close team of eight designers working to strengthen the LEGO Group's digital foundation. The team benefits from strong leadership support for customer-centric thinking and a well-established service design network within the broader Digital organisation, with shared tools, case studies, and expertise. We work in a hybrid rhythm, coming together to the office on certain days, starting each week as a team, and holding regular design critiques and learning sessions. You'll collaborate closely with product teams and bring strong facilitation skills, clear communication, and the ability to simplify complexity for different audiences.
This position will be in our LEGO® Hub in Copenhagen, soon moving to Postbyen. The work environment is exciting, inspiring, and flexible - and we like to have fun along the way!
What success looks like
Success means helping The Data Office to confidently use user-centred methods to prioritise and shape their products. You'll contribute journey maps and service blueprints that become part of planning and decision-making for key initiatives. Over the next 12-18 months, the team is focused on proving the value of service design, supporting user-centred prioritization, and helping shape future growth of capability. You'll work closely with Product Managers, Engineering Leads, fellow designers, a student worker, and the Head of Design in Digital Platforms and Infrastructure to make that happen.
Please note: If you require any reasonable accommodation or adjustments throughout the application process, please let us know. We will work with you to meet your needs.
This position is Senior Manager Specialist level. Relocation support is not offered.
