About the Team
The Insurance Transformation team partners with senior Allianz Group leaders on their most consequential strategic priorities. We define growth and productivity levers, harmonize business models, and translate strategic ambitions, such as the Group's AI agenda, into a prioritized transformation roadmap. We then drive its delivery by designing target operating models, redesigning end-to-end processes, and governing Group-wide transformation programs through to measurable results.
Role Overview
As a Consultant you contribute to strategy and transformation engagements for senior Allianz stakeholders, taking responsibility for specific analyses and deliverables within a workstream. You start from strategy, building the fact base, benchmarks and business planning inputs that help senior leaders set priorities and understand how Allianz competes and operates in a changing market. You then move to design and delivery, supporting process improvement and operating model work and keeping project governance documents, timelines and communications up to date. Along the way you learn the consulting toolkit hands-on and grow towards owning modules of your own.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to complex strategic and transformation projects that reshape how Allianz operates, taking responsibility for specific analyses and deliverables, from strategic rationale, business case inputs and financial modeling (including for potential acquisitions) to operating model and process design, and for their quality and timeliness
- Support the project governance, preparing steering committee materials, delivery and impact reporting, risk and dependency logs, project timelines and communications, and board presentations for senior management
- Work with client teams day to day, gather and structure information and build strong working relationships with your counterparts
- Keep your workstream lead informed on progress and roadblocks, ask the right questions early and propose options when something is unclear
- Conduct external benchmarking, selected due diligence and research on industry trends and market conditions, identify improvement opportunities across the insurance value chain and their top-down impact, and turn the findings into clear, well-structured analyses and storylines
- Contribute to business development and client pitches under the guidance of an Engagement Manager, preparing research, analyses and presentation material
- Help increase Allianz Consulting expertise within our strategic areas of development and contribute to internal projects, knowledge sharing and team events
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels and support the team in maintaining strong client partnerships throughout the project lifecycle
