Project Manager / Consultant – Learning Management System
Portwest Retail is a leading Irish-owned outdoor retail business, with four stores along the Wild Atlantic Way, including locations in Westport, Galway and Killarney.
We are passionate about the outdoors and work with more than 50 of the leading outdoor and lifestyle brands on the market. We are now looking for a Project Manager or Consultant to help us develop and implement a structured learning platform for our employees using
Zoho Learn.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the project from reviewing our existing training materials through to organising, updating and transferring content into an accessible Learning Management System (LMS). The project will include existing retail onboarding and operational training, SOPs and product training, with a focus on creating a system that can be maintained and updated over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Collate, review and organise existing training materials, including SOPs, manuals, onboarding and product-training content.
- Identify gaps and areas where existing training materials need to be improved or updated.
- Update and standardise SOPs, training documents and supporting materials.
- Work with relevant teams to capture knowledge and convert it into clear, practical learning content.
- Create engaging training videos and other digital learning materials.
- Set up and structure the Zoho Learn LMS, including appropriate learning areas, courses and content.
- Upload and organise training documents and videos within the LMS.
- Help establish a practical process for keeping training content current and easy to access.
- Ensure the platform supports structured employee onboarding, ongoing product training and the consistent recording of learning activities.
Experience and Skills Required
- Strong project management, administrative and organisational skills.
- Ability to organise information and turn them into clear, structured processes.
- Strong IT skills and confidence learning and configuring software platforms
- Experience using AI tools to help create, organise or improve training content.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear SOPs and training materials.
- Photography, video creation and/or basic video-editing skills are desirable.
- Experience in retail, learning and development, employee training or process documentation would be beneficial.
- A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to work independently with multiple stakeholders.
