035761 Blow Moulding Setter (Open)

Job Description:

Operations

·    Pack blow moulded product as per the process control document.

·    Carries out the required quality inspections and completes the quality

documentation accordingly.

·    Ensure equipment settings are as per the parameters set for each product.

·    Ensure the maintaining of food safety protocols within the assigned work area.

·    Perform the required colour changes on the machine as per the shop order and

process control.   EDUCATION

Ø  Matric (Grade 12) or recognized equivalent qualification.

Ø  Plastics Manufacturing Qualification

Ø  Numeracy, Literacy and technical aptitude assessment (60% pass mark)

EXPERIENCE

Ø  ±3 Years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

Ø  Lean manufacturing experience with training in OPEX.

Ø  Maintain accurate production and process recording.

Ø  Tracking and reducing manufacturing waste using OPEX initiatives.

Ø  Setting and operating blow moulding machines.

SKILLS

Ø  Physical strength and stamina.

Ø  Good eye hand coordination.

Ø  Read, understand and complete the required documentation

Ø  Follow Standard Operating Procedures.

SAFETY

Safety is extremely important and the employee will be responsible for:

Ø  Putting personal and co-worker safety first in everything that you do.

Ø  Following all the company’s safety rules and policies.

Ø  Wearing safety equipment and PPE.

Ø  Reporting all dangerous or unsafe behavior to the supervisor or the manager.

Never to engage in any unsafe act.

·    Maintains work flow by monitoring process control documents and adjust  weights and other processing variables including leak tester and labeling machines.

·    Record production outputs on visual management boards, in daily reports and

shop logix.

·    Facilitating corrections to malfunctions of products with the supervisor.

·    Maintains quality service by enforcing company’s quality standards.

·    Ensures efficient operation of equipment by calling for repairs when required.

·    Maintains safe and clean work environment by the use of appropriate equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
