CDL-A Local Retail Delivery Driver – Madison, WI
Earn an average of $90,000 per year on a dedicated local retail delivery account starting in Madison, WI . Get home every night, receive a $5,000 bonus , and follow consistent routes with scheduled store appointments. This is a physically demanding delivery position that requires hand unloading.
Pay & Schedule
- Average Annual Pay: $90,000
- Average Weekly Pay: Approximately $1,750
- Sign-On Bonus: $5,000
- Hourly pay with a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week
- Average earnings are based on approximately 50 hours per week
- Training: 2–3 days, paid at the position’s hourly rate
- Holiday hours paid at the regular hourly rate
- Monday–Friday , with an average of 2 Saturdays per month
- Saturday work required during peak periods: November–December and March–April
- Start time around 4:00 AM
- Typical shifts last 10–12 hours
- Home daily
- Busy periods may require a six-day workweek approximately 15–20 times per year, generally with about one week’s notice
Job Details

- Approximately 2–4 stops per day
- Predetermined, consistent routes and store appointment times
- Outbound freight is preloaded for drivers
- Product arrives on shuttles throughout the day
- Hand unload boxes onto conveyor belts or roller ramps at store locations
- Use a pallet jack occasionally to move palletized freight onto store docks
Physical requirements:
- Approximately 50–300 boxes per stop
- Around 500–700 boxes per trailer
- Box weights range from 2–100 lbs, with most averaging 30–60 lbs
- This job is highly labor-intensive and requires frequent lifting and unloading
Job Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 6 months of truck driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Valid DOT Medical Card
- No SAP drivers
- Must be able to perform frequent physical unloading and handle boxes of varying weights
- Must be available for required Saturday shifts during peak seasons
