POSITION OVERVIEW

You'll run the data side of Marketing's campaigns from start to finish. That covers the audience each campaign targets, the check before a list goes out, what the campaign costs, and the reporting on what it returned.

As AI agents take on more of the routine steps in our team, you'll be the person who can run the whole chain and who knows what each step should produce. You'll also stop a release that isn't right.

This is a temporary individual contributor role, and you'll do the work yourself.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

- Take a campaign's audience from targeting to deployment. Turn the written criteria for a campaign or program into an audience list from BDC's client and prospect data, applying the eligibility and consent rules. Deliver it to the team that runs the marketing platform, and confirm the approved version is the one that was sent.

- Check every list before it leaves Client Analytics. Apply the team's validation standard to the lists you build and to the lists a colleague builds. Record the result, and hold back a list that doesn't meet it.

- Bring cost data into Marketing's reporting. Work with campaign budget, effort and spend data as BDC's data modernization program makes it available, and validate each new input before a report uses it. Connect cost to results using the definitions in Marketing's measurement framework, so the cost of a result can be read by channel and by campaign. Reconcile the totals with Finance's figures, and move the reports you own from legacy sources to validated ones with no interruption in reporting.

- Apply one taxonomy to Marketing's campaigns. Keep Client Analytics' classification of campaigns, tactics and channels consistent with the definitions in Marketing's measurement framework. Apply it from targeting through to cost and reporting, so a campaign carries the same name and code everywhere it appears.

- Keep channel and marketing reporting reliable, and automate its routine. Maintain the channel and marketing dashboards at the agreed-upon freshness, and add budget and return views where the data is validated. Move the refresh and quality checks to AI-assisted workflows built to the team's standards. Measure the time this saves, and maintain the quality of the output. Each report states its definitions and sources and keeps a changelog, so a person and Copilot read it the same way.

- Leave every piece of work runnable by someone else. Write a procedure for each area you own, and train a backup on it. Document your logic and scripts so a colleague can reuse them.

- Turn analyses into insights that guide decisions. Analyze campaign, client and channel data to answer the questions Marketing leaders bring, and present what you find as a data story: the question, what the data shows, how confident you are and the decision it points to. Separate cause from correlation, test what you can, and record which decision each insight informed, so the team can see which work changed an outcome.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Must-haves

- A bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, in statistics, economics, computer science, engineering or a related quantitative field, with seven or more years in analytics or data work you did yourself.
- SQL and Power BI used in your own daily work, on Databricks or a comparable platform. You should be able to trace a reported number back to the system that produced it and say where it could have gone wrong on the way.
- Audience or eligibility lists you built from written business criteria that went into a live campaign or an operational process, and a list or a report someone else built that you checked, including one you held back.
- Experience working with cost, budget or spend data and connecting it to results, including reconciling it with a finance source.
- AI used in your own analysis, and at least one recurring task you automated with AI or code that other people relied on, including the checks you put around it.
- Bilingualism (French and English), spoken and written. This role runs working sessions with partner teams and writes documentation in both official languages.
