About this role
Join the power movement as a Senior Enterprise Solution Architect
To support our rapid growth and complex engineering, manufacturing, and business operations, we are looking for a strategic and hands-on Enterprise Solution Architect.
In this role, you will be responsible for defining, designing, and driving the overarching technology architecture across our digital ecosystem. You will bridge the gap between high-level business goals and technical execution, ensuring our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), cloud infrastructure, and data platforms seamlessly integrate into a unified digital thread.
If you thrive in high-impact environments, enjoy solving complex IT/OT integration challenges across corporate and operational systems, and want to architect the digital foundation for the future of clean energy, we would love to hear from you.
What you'll do:
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for end-user support across enterprise applications, resolving user tickets and performing root-cause analysis to identify and implement solutions
- Manage user onboarding, offboarding, group assignments, and role-based access control across core platforms
- Execute routine technical updates and application maintenance, including modifying workflows, updating UI elements, and editing system configurations
- Author, update, and maintain clear documentation, standard operating procedures, and technical guides to streamline knowledge sharing
- Deliver practical training sessions to onboard new users and educate existing users on best practices and new features
- Audit software license usage to optimize provisioning, while automating routine administrative tasks and reporting
- Assist in user acceptance testing and system validation for new releases, patch updates, and custom feature rollouts
- Monitor and troubleshoot digital thread connections and data flows between enterprise systems
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related STEM field (or equivalent industry experience)
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues, diagnose root causes, and follow logical steps to resolve technical problems
- Strong commitment to end-user support, with patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for helping internal stakeholders solve daily challenges
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders
- Core software literacy, including a grasp of conditional logic, basic programming concepts, and data flows across connected systems
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring system changes are applied safely and documentation is thorough, clear, and reliable
- Fast learner with high curiosity and strong growth potential, energized by complex problem solving in a dynamic environment
- Deep alignment with our mission to deliver the urgent transition to fusion energy, paired with a genuine passion for solving hard problems
Bonus points for:
- Familiarity with enterprise software platforms, including Teamcenter (PLM), Designcenter/NX (CAD), Odoo (ERP), Manufacturo/Opcenter (MES), and AVEVA.
- Basic understanding of engineering, manufacturing, and assembly processes in a technical environment.
- Practical experience writing scripts or database queries (Python, PowerShell, SQL) for task automation or data manipulation.
- Working knowledge of web technologies and stylesheets (XML, HTML, CSS) or low-code application development platforms (Mendix).
- Practical experience using Jira for project/task tracking and Confluence for knowledge base documentation.
- Previous experience in a technical support, IT service desk, or systems administration role.
Must-have requirements:
- Perform activities such as typing, standing, and sitting, for extended periods of time
- Willingness to occasionally travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call - this position will require up to 25% travel (day-trip & overnight)
- Work in a facility that contains industrial hazards including heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, high current, pressure systems, and cryogenics
