Position Summary

The NASHE DX Specialist serves as a subject-matter expert in the design, development, and application of digital technologies for SHE management across North America. The role combines manufacturing and shop-floor safety knowledge with expertise in data architecture, analytics, Microsoft Power Platform, workflow automation, and responsible AI. It converts complex SHE and operational requirements into scalable digital products, integrated data structures, dashboards, and risk-visualization tools that improve One-NA visibility and enable proactive risk reduction. Working hands-on with NASHE, site SHE teams, technical functions, and global partners, the specialist provides technical analysis, solution design, configuration, validation, documentation, and deployment support throughout the solution lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Apply specialist knowledge to define technical requirements and solution architecture for the NASHE SHE DX/AI roadmap, consistent with North America SHE priorities, manufacturing needs, and global standards
- Research and assess digital and AI applications for industrial safety, evaluate technical feasibility and risk-reduction value, and produce recommendations for North America deployment
- Design, configure, test, deploy, and maintain digital SHE applications using Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate, Dataverse, analytics, AI, and related technologies
- Engineer integrated data models for incidents, equipment specifications and locations, asset records, inspections, risk assessments, and corrective actions
- Develop analytical dashboards and digital risk maps to identify incident patterns, equipment-related exposure, inspection gaps, risk-assessment status, and overdue corrective actions
- Define data standards, validation rules, access controls, metadata, ownership requirements, and update logic to maintain reliable and traceable SHE data
- Perform technical development and integration for priority applications, including AI camera solutions, digital risk assessments, QR-enabled inspections, VR tools, and workflow automation
- Translate shop-floor processes, equipment hazards, user needs, and compliance requirements into functional specifications, process logic, data structures, and test criteria
- Conduct proof-of-concept development, system configuration, verification, user acceptance testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and post-deployment optimization
- Provide technical consultation to NAPIC/PIC, ITDX/ITDC, DNJP, Operations, cybersecurity, legal, and data-governance functions to ensure solution compatibility, security, and compliance
- Create technical standards, user guidance, training materials, and reusable solution components to support consistent deployment and sustained use across North America

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related technical field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, industrial technology, SHE/EHS systems, manufacturing engineering, equipment engineering, maintenance, quality, or digital process improvement
- Demonstrated experience in solution development, data integration, data modeling, visualization, governance, testing, and application lifecycle support
- Technical understanding of shop-floor processes, equipment hazards, operator workflows, and manufacturing constraints, with the ability to convert them into effective digital solutions
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, requirements-definition, technical documentation, and cross-functional communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

- Hands-on experience developing or supporting digital solutions in a manufacturing plant, preferably for SHE/EHS, manufacturing engineering, production engineering, equipment engineering, maintenance, quality, or operational excellence
- Working knowledge of incident management, equipment risk assessment, inspections, corrective actions, audits, and control verification
- Applied experience with machine learning, computer vision, digital mapping, QR-enabled workflows, advanced analytics, or AI-assisted process improvement
- Advanced hands-on capability with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate, and Dataverse
- Experience with databases, APIs, system interfaces, data security, application testing, version control, or structured solution documentation
- Relevant technical certification in Microsoft Power Platform, data analytics, AI, software development, manufacturing systems, or SHE/EHS
