About this role

Kroll is looking for a People Business Partner to join the People team. This role partners with senior business leaders to guide business decisions through people strategy, commercial judgment and clear workforce choices. The People Business Partner considers how decisions affect the wider firm, anticipates their business impact and connects the priorities of an assigned business or region with Kroll's strategy.

The role also helps shape how the People function works. The role demonstrates a level of capability across the team, improves employee experience and creates momentum behind major transformation priorities. The successful candidate will role model the pace, accountability and follow-through expected from senior business partner.

Day-to-day Responsibilities:

• Partner with business leaders to align people priorities with business and firm strategy.

• Translate business plans into multi-year workforce priorities covering talent, skills, succession, organization design, location strategy and leadership capability.

• Bring enterprise-level judgment to complex decisions and consider consequences across businesses, functions, regions and locations.

• Anticipate the workforce, employee and organizational impact of proposed decisions.

• Lead strategic workforce planning and talent discussions, connecting current capability with future business needs.

• Connect priorities across the organization and identify opportunities for businesses and People teams to work together on shared goals.

• Assess workforce location choices through skill access, client needs, capacity and long-term operating requirements.

• Evaluate technology, including AI, where it can improve work quality, decision speed, or employee experience.

• Use business and workforce evidence to create a clear narrative, explain what is changing and recommend action.

• Coach a broad group of leaders to improve leadership behavior, accountability and decision quality.

• Advise on organization design, leadership capability, performance, reward, talent and succession.

• Help design and accelerate transformation, build sponsorship, clarify ownership and support sustained adoption.

• Partner with Centers of Excellence and People Operations to improve policies, processes and the employee experience from end to end.

• Challenge legacy patterns, introduce relevant external thinking and redesign approaches when current practices limit business or employee outcomes.

• Raise the capability and confidence of the People team through coaching, direct feedback, shared tools and clear standards.

• Take responsibility for important People function priorities beyond the immediate client group.

• Model high performance through pace, clarity, ownership, constructive challenge and reliable follow-through.

• Maintain strong governance, sound employee relations practice, confidentiality and compliance with applicable law and policy.

What Success Looks Like:

• Senior leaders seek the People Business Partner's input early because the advice is commercially clear and relevant to the enterprise.

• People and workforce plans are connected to business strategy and prepare the organization for future capability needs.

• Leadership decisions reflect a clear understanding of workforce implications and material trade-offs.

• Links commercial and people data, leading to a coherent narrative, clear decision making and measurable follow-through and actions taken.

• Helps to maintain momentum of transformation priorities through active sponsorship and driving sustained adoption.

• Able to apply strong judgment and produce work that leaders can act on.

• Policies and processes become easier to use, with clearer ownership and a better employee experience.

• Leaders and colleagues see consistent standards in pace, accountability, conduct and delivery.

Essential Traits:

• Significant progressive experience in People or Human Resources roles, including senior business partnering in a complex, matrixed organization.

• Demonstrated success influencing executive decisions across business, functional, or geographic boundaries.

• Commercial fluency, including the ability to understand a business plan, interpret financial and operating measures, and connect them to workforce choices.

• Experience in strategic workforce planning, talent and succession, organization design, leadership coaching, performance, reward, and transformation.

• Ability to turn business and people data into a clear narrative, recommendation, and action plan.

• Experience leading significant change and improving processes across organizational boundaries.

• Ability to raise team capability through coaching, feedback, and leadership through influence.

• Strong knowledge of employment practices and the judgment to involve legal or specialist partners when needed.
