As an intern on the Digital Technology Product Design team, you will be an active contributor to the team’s success by supporting the design and development of user experiences across complex enterprise products. You will gain hands-on experience in Product design, AI-enabled design workflows, and collaborative product development while working with cross-functional teams.

Job Description

What you’ll do (Job Responsibilities)

- Support discovery and research efforts to uncover user needs, pain points, and opportunity areas within complex systems
- Assist in designing and iterating on wireframes, prototypes, and interaction flows for enterprise software products
- Leverage AI-assisted design tools (e.g., generative AI, research synthesis tools, design copilots) to accelerate concept generation and iteration
- Conduct user research sessions and synthesize findings into actionable insights and visualizations
- Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to translate user needs into clear design deliverables
- Present design concepts and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in UX Design, Human Centered Design & Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
- Foundational knowledge of UX design principles, user research methods, and interaction design patterns
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, including prototyping and component-based design
- Must be available to work full-time during the internship period

- You have a passion for human-centered design and emerging AI-powered user experiences
- You are someone who brings strong visual communication skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with AI-assisted design and research tools and their application in UX workflows
- Experience designing within or contributing to a design system
- Strong portfolio demonstrating problem-solving through design thinking

This position is also eligible for:

- Relocation Assistance: Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.
- Housing Allowance: Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern’s permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.
- Employee Assistance Program, providing 24/7 confidential assessment, counseling and referral services
- GE Vernova Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) after their accumulated service reaches 90 days, and they meet any other eligibility requirements as defined in the plans. (Eligibility occurs on the 1st of the month following the 90th day.)
